TEAM NAME: Adamant

DEF: B. Goddard, J. Grimes, B. Gibbs, G. Birchall, P. Duffield, T. Smith, S. Docherty (S. Colquhoun, J. Thurlow)

MID: D. Swan, G. Ablett jnr, S. Pendlebury, M. Murphy, L. Whitfield, O. Wines (B. Crouch, J. O'Meara)

RUC: T. Goldstein, M. Leuenberger (B. Grundy, J. Daniher)

FWD: L. Franklin, M. Robinson, D. Zaharakis, T. Cloke, M. LeCras, S. Mayes, J. Stringer (M. Shaw, M. McDonough)

CASH LEFT: $67,200

13 Premiums
3 Mid-Pricers
14 Rookies

DEF: The 4 G's (Goddard, Gibbs, Grimes & Grant) are locks. Duffield averaged 89 if you remove his sub-affected games. Lyon likes to use him in the sweeper role and I believe he is back to 2009 & 2010 form, where he averaged 89 & 88.

MID: Swanny & GAJ are worth the price tags. They are the safest captain options in the comp (particularly Swan), and I would feel much better to have them in my team from the start, then to hope one of them has an average game. Pendles & Murph are great value (especially Murph) and are locks for the top 6 mids.

RUC: Goldy will push a 90+ average with H-Mac at the Cats and will be priced at 79...bargain. Berger will be most selected ruck and possibly player - a no-brainer.

FWD: Not too sure on Buddy atm. I dont really wanna start him, but I would hate to see him in my opponents team pumping out a 140+. Robbo would have averaged 100 without that end of season injury, and will be a nice unique. Zaha was averaging 90+ before he tore his quad, his injury lowered his average down to 83...great value. I can see Cloke going back to at least an 85ish avg, and LeCras is another no-brainer at that price.

- Will swap Buddy/Zaha for Rocky/Fyfe if given DPP.
- Would like to upgrade Zaha to Stevie J, but unfortunately fall 5k short.

Rooks arent set in stone obviously, but how's it looking at the moment?

Mr.Craig

You've essentially got the same structure as me except I went with Beams ahead of Ablett and have six premium/mid-pricers in the forwards. I feel like that'll be a bit safer.

Premiums look good. Don't expect me to say anything nice about Cloke, I really don't think he's worth the trouble. Rookies are very nice but you might want to look at Boston, Lee or Membrey ahead of Shaw.

8.5/10. Top 1% material. 8)

Thanks Mr.Craig.
I would like to have Beamsy in there, but that could get ugly with the byes. I could mabye go Ablett & Cloke to Cotchin & Stevie J/Stanley? The latter does look better on paper...

Mr.Craig

Yeah, I have Stanley. 6 tons from 13 games last year and only one score below 80 reads well. Should be a solid pick.

And Cotch is a gun. :)

Like it Ada.  Only thought would be whether Cloke is worth the risk as a mid priced forward.  Obviously quite a few reasonably priced mids, and while Cloke may get back to his best now the contract discussions are over, I think he's a bit of a risk.

Anyway.  Like those kids, very nice balanced team!
