ST KILDA is in the box seat to land Mitch Brown as the key defender it so desperately needs.

There have been reports this morning Brown, 23, has told the Eagles he wants a return to Victoria - but not to Collingwood, where brother Nathan plays.

Brown has played 51 games since the Eagles plucked him with pick No. 16.

Website Sports News First reported Brown's manager Liam Pickering told West Coast coach John Worsfold at the weekend that Brown wanted out.

The Eagles are also set to lose Koby Stevens (to a Victorian club) and Tom Swift (retired to study medicine).

But they are in line to secure Collingwood's Sharrod Wellingham as well as Saint Jamie Cripps.

The Saints are also well placed to land Gold Coast's Tom Hickey.

Hickey has requested a trade to Seaford despite the Suns' intentions to keep him.

Good news for the saints but gotta say alot of players leaving the west

The trade would probably include jamie cripps, straight swap.

As an eagles supporter, its quiet the blow, since he would be the starter in 2 years time or once glass retires. sets us back in the KPD stocks now :(

Well the other kid we have is Blayne Wilson, eagles drafted him in the 2010 preseason draft. He is still rough around the edges i believe, and during draft year he was compared to Brian Lake. He was injured for a fair chunk for the 2012 season though

Yeh i've seen Blayne play, he goes ok. Not much else tho is there really?

I want a first round pick for him.

He's not out of contract so if no-one can offer us that then give him a big contract next year and the promise of playing more games in the future.

Justin Bieber

Good pick. West Coast don't deserve a real high pick for him.

Probably not but he is the long-term replacement for our captain.

Just needs some patience, money surely can't be a factor... ::)
