most hawk supporters won't talk much about the loss but from where i see it it is a good experience for the players. It motivate the players to push them selves that extra mile and win. I am backing them to do so next year to those who have lost faith keep it like Hodgey said I know the team we have and we will be back here next year remember that :)

Not sure I can agree that the loss is good for the players  :-\ The Prelim loss last year could of been considered to be good experience for the team as last year we were a bit behind Collingwood and Geelong as a team and a close Prelim loss would/did motivate us to achieve more (much like Adelaide losing in the Prelim this year may do for 2013).

However this year (without meaning to sound arrogant) we were at least as good or better than any other team. We went into the GF as strong favourites, led into the last quarter only to lose. If anything I'm worried this may create some mental demons in some players heads expecially as people will start to (if not already) question our ability to win the big games.

Of course I hope I'm wrong, but I can guarantee I won't be losing faith  :)

thats not arrogance mate thats honesty and i appreciate that :)

It didn't help stkilda twice in a row nor did it help Collingwood after 2011. Geelong 09 is the last one I can think of since 2006

the flying hawk

yeah true but i still think it will lift them

Well there are strong similarities between the GF in 08 and this year. Both losing sides were strongly fancied, and both had many more scoring shots. Hopefully now someone vows never to lose to Sydney again lol a la Chappy and then we win 2 flags in the next 3 years. I'd be happy with that. ;)

oh i vow that they neber lose to them again :)
