Now the dust has settled on the season I thought it worthy to say thanks to Taz for being a great servant of the Collingwood Football club, Freemantle for several seasons and the AFL in general.

After coming to Collingwood as a wild Mildura boy who struggled to settle, he ended up one of the most level headed, professional footballers at the club. Not only a 5 times leading goal kicker for the club he also was All Australian in 2003 and Anzac Medallist back in 2001. Mark Harvey must claim credit for his revitalisation as a key stingy backman where he plied his trade for the Pies over the last two years.

All in all 266 games and 366 goals.

Of note my female companions (from all teams) also showed an unhealthy interest in Taz over his career.  ;)

It's a shame we couldn't get you that flag Taz but thanks for the memories.

And special mention of his 'Mark of the Year'.

the flying hawk

good player great defender shame he had to go good luck in whatever you decide to achieve :)

Noz

What a great player and to think he turned into one of the best forwards AFL had at that time into one of the top defenders at the time in the matter of a year or 2. Such a great servant for the Collingwood football club and sad to see him retire.

the flying hawk

the funniest thing was him and buddy in the qualifying final haha :D
