2011 average: 52 from 16 matches

2012 average: 75 from 19 matches

Ben had a good year being a key part in the rise of the Kangaroos late in 2012. After being dropped for 3 matches, he came back in round 17, Cunnington averaged 24 disposals a game and looked every bit the fearless inside ball-winner he was as a junior, his DT scores didn't drop below 75 and his last 3 scores of the year were no less than 95.

After he'd won 22 disposals and eight clearances in North's elimination final loss to West Coast, Brad Scott put Cunnington's development in context: "If the others improve to the level that Ben Cunnington has then we'll be a pretty good side."

Ben ranked in the top 10 at the club for disposals and contested marks and top 5 for clearances and tackles

with some suggesting that the Kangaroos are going to fall down the ladder in 2013 it may not be the ideal time to pick him for the coming season but as a top 5 pick from 2009 and North Melbourne eager to prove the critics wrong again.... as usual

we could see another potential breakout..... however it may or may not be this coming season

my predicted average: 90

Mabye in 2-3 years.

Exactly.  ;)

Definately not for me. Is going to be a good player, but just don't think he'll be a fantasy relevant midfielder.

Ricochet
