One of the only decent round 12 premo's, think ill start with him cant be bothered using him as an upgrade target to save 60-80k ?

just throwing it out there, i don't like any of the rd 12 premo midfielders (apart from Andy Swallow and I think he's too much of a risk) so what about starting Stevie J as your M4 (assuming he gets DPP) and then swapping him into the forward line around rd 12?

Just a thought, trying to get my head around the byes still :P
Yeah struggling for a premo round 12 mid aswell

I would like to be able to do this but it's a pretty expensive midfield

Cotchin(11)
Ablett(13)
Swan(13)
Premo(12) ?
Embley(12) .. upgrade round 12 into Boyd(11)
Ball(13) .. upgrade round 13 into Redden(11)

What do people think on my theory that SJ's role last year was a needs basis and with the emerging midfield talant he will be used forward and kept safe for a shot at September, possably even missing a game or two

Geelong need their best players playing at the moment while they go through a slight rebuilding period(lost alot of great players in the last couple of years) ..SJ kicks butt when he plays forward ..averaged 107 in 2011

But when he played forward 2009 - 99 / 2010 - 94  /  2011 - 107

I'd go with last year's FWD stats, not 09, 10 and 11

GM

SJ had a great year in 2012 playing all over the ground.
His game sense and ability to read the ball will be required all over the ground in 2013 aswell.
A definite lock for me.

really tough decision....

Cox + Heppell + Martin
vs
Goldstein + Grimes + Stevie Jay

tbh i do see him missing a few games/played forward to rest up, but only if the wins are on the board. If Geelong struggle early, SJ won't miss too many
