Do these 5 week ahead trade plans ever eventuate? and if they for are they ever as successful as you expected? Seen a few of these around and I'm never convinced, especially when dealing either 3rd or 4th year players as past results tend to be low 2-3 years ago compared to there last year. Paddy Dangerfield is a good example as he had a "poor" record against Melbourne and therefore predicted score at about 70 but smashed out 138.

Is expecting big scores against gws and gc going to end in disaster?

idk why people are going with Hartlett. The general consensus is that he'll average what 86-90. Heppell costs like 17k more but will probably go mid 90s and with an incredibly lower injury risk.

First four plays Melbourne, GWS, Adelaide and GC.

2011 and 2012 vs each of these teams;
Dees: 99 (solid)
GWS: 86
Crows: 96, 45 (?)
GC: 124, 89

Not that particularly stand-out.

Because not everyone on here is a bias essendon fan. Those numbers look great without the 45.

Hartlett is a better player than Heppel just needs to get his body right

this post cracked me up and i couldnt agree more. Hartlett would smash Heppell in terms of average, he just needs to get his body right.

But will it be this year? Or worse off... Will it be ever???? :-\

I reckon Hartlett's ceiling won't be as high as many other defenders though i would only expect a high of 120, Though i do expect constancy from him and shouldnt see his score drop below 80-85 too may times this year.

Expect close to a 100 average

Just heard a Port faithful say "he's too good to be playing off half back, he will be running through the midfield"

Exactly what i have been saying, He will play majority of the games on the wing.

Playing too much deep DEF for my liking

Windigo

It's the first round of NAB. It'll be just trialling different game plans and shower.

Don't read too much into it.

hmm Hartlett + Macaffer

vs

Martin/Wright + DEF Rook

Windigo

I've never really considered Hartlett because of his injury proneness.  :-\

Surely you could fit in Martin/Wright & Macaffer.  ???

Macaffer is locked..

just working out if I should play a
5-0-1 DEF + 3-2-1 FWD

or

4-0-2 DEF + 4-2-0 FWD
