Ankle - 6+ weeks.

Summary: This guy is not averaging that well at the moment in such a poor year for Port. I don't think we will see much from him for 2-3 years. He doesn't seem like he will ever be a fantasy GUN though. If he can become a hard running defender he may become a decent scorer.

Verdict: Not this year and you'd be cutting it fine to pick him in the next 2-3 years.

Torpy's Prediction: 63 Average. Not a big jump.

was a gun at junior level
Just cause he was a gun at junior level doesn't mean he'll be a gun at senior level.

Will have more responsibilities next year and will be fighting for a spot along the half back line with Pittard if we continue to use Hartlett back there maybe used more of a stopper next year every now and then getting a small run in the midfield and released at times. Will be used as more of a fringe player possible hit by the vest at times he has been injured a far bit at his time at Port so a careful approach would be taken.

Another option due to the late passing of John McCarthy (R.I.P) Hartlett maybe be shifted to a full time midfield role and Jacobs can slot back to his half back role alongside Pittard if this is the case i can see Jacobs average mid to low 70s still at his price i will pass.

The ankle innjury that kept him out for the last couple of weeks sounds serious. Hopefully he can recover. But at that price added on to only above 75 once and with Port rebuilding he is a no for me

Reckon he can average 75ish at a new club.

Yeah could be a decent pickup if he moves to North or Essendon as reports are suggesting will happen. Will watch over pre season but I wouldn't be surprised if he averages 80, was a gun junior (pick 16) and 3rd year breakout rule. I may be biased though as he went to my school  :P

Really like this kid and I do like my backline smokies! Will contest with Bock, Howard and Harbrow for one or two spots I feel.

Nice pick-up ;)
