Hal is a rough and tough backman/midfielder who has been plagued by injuries, only playing 18 games in the last 3 years. His stats in the VFL during 2012 were solid without being spectacular, being named in the best once, kicking a few goals and averaging 4.4 tackles. His DT scores were 16, 49, 86, 69, 69, 65, 60, 89 and 48 (Ave: 61.2).

To get a gig with Essendon he'd need to step up his game a fair bit and even then he'll have new recruits Van Unen and Kommer fighting for similar roles so at this point I can't see him playing.

Dodoro says (2011): “Hal comes to us from the Calder Cannons and at 18 years of age, he is a strong bodied mid come half back. He played for Vic Metro this year but unfortunately sustained a few injuries throughout the season. Our medical team suggests we can get him really right during this year so we think that Hal will be able to have a good season for us next year. He is a strong contested player who puts his head over the ball."

it's similar to SC/DT but at the beginning of the competitions creations the coaches of the teams drafted there original players from AFL clubs once player is drafted the coach is stuck with them forever until they get traded to another coach or retire or get delisted etc

dunno how else to explain it but you keep your team for the next season unless you trade etc
