As mentioned in DT talk both played well well the other wasnt in the team that round but now that they are both sepperated who do you think will take full advatage of that

Broughton whos starting at a new club filled with young players?

or

Duffield who has more experience and is staying in a top 8 side?

Jroo

I think they should both score well. Broughton's DPP is useful, while Duffman will be pretty unique, so there pretty hard to split

Jukes

I can see both averaging very similar in the 86-90 range, so I'd prefer Broughton due to him being 18k cheaper.

Prefer Lake over both, cheaper and will average more.

henry

I prefer Duffman for his consistency. I reckon Broughts could get thrown  bit all over the place where needed to help further develop the kids. Duffield for me.

Presto

Duffield for me.

Broughton is in "the never again list", and that is where he should stay

Windigo

Broughton will be mega value if he recapture his form of old.  :-\

Duff Man will improve and bounce back (hopefully) to be the best rebounding defender like he was a few years ago.

Adamant

Hmm, this is a tough one.

I've been talking Duffman up all pre-season, but I've currently got Broughts in at D3.

I think Duffield will be around the 87-92 mark, but he plays West Coast round 1. He averages just 61.7 against them from his 15 career games.

Both are great options and will average similarly, but because of Duffman's bad record against West Coast, I've gone with Broughts.

Windigo

Broughton's start:

Saints 89 average.

Swans 92 average.

Lions 95 average.

Power 98 average.

Giants N/A

hmm that's very persuading, but the fact he now plays for GC does change the context of it all. He'll be in a losing team almost every week, how will that affect his score?
Maybe he'll get even more of the ball since it'll be down in his area for the majority of the game

Broughton for me ..has been promised the half-back role at Gold Coast ..if he stinks it up early ill swap him for Duffman  ;D

Is that so? My fear has been he might tag, I heard he might play defence but half back makes him fairly juicy, I was favoring Duff for D3-4

The quietly spoken defender said he wanted a new challenge and intended on cementing his spot across half-back.

"That's the plan. I've been training in that spot over the pre-season and plan to do so going forward.

"Bluey has said I'm the only one that can lose that spot. It's an exciting young group and I'm looking forward to starting in the next month

Quoting another article he also says that bluey said he would have stints in the middle.

Broughton has made a name for himself in defence and it’s a role he likely to continue playing for the Gold Coast SUNS after an initial chat with coach Guy McKenna, something Broughton is quite comfortable with.

“For most of my career I have played in defence, so my main preferred position is in the back line,” he said.

I had a quick chat to Bluey after everything was done, and he eluded my role will primarily be down back with some stints in the midfield if required.
