Winner of the 2012 John Cahill Medal - Kane Cornes

What they said: Garry Hocking says Kane has showed his resilience to bounce back from a tough 2011. He dug in, in the pre-season and fought for his spot. He has been able to pass on his experience and left a legacy this year.

What he said: 2011 was tough, but sat down with KT and had a chat this time last year. He assured I had the club support. He is a great person and the club is in good hands. New coaches provided a fresh start. Appreciated their support.it's a huge suprise. Others were equally deserving. Thanked wife Lucy and three sons, his mum and dad ...and Chad Cornes who was in attendance

Jones is actually a really good player and gets the hard stuff done week in, week out. Cornes just hangs around looking for the easy stuff but yes i wouldnt want my team having either of them as our best player :P
