So here's the scenario, I have 1 trade left and 179K in the bank, with J. Selwood out in my mids and i currently do not have Swan.
My opponent this week in the PF DOESN'T have Swan, so if i get him in and put him as captain I could potentially get a lot of points.

My midfield consists of:

Ablett, SELWOOD, Thompson, Pendlebury, Mitchell, Hayes. (Gibson, Sexton)

the only trouble is, i have broughton on my pine in the backs with spurr and darley fighting for D7..

Deledio,Birchall, Carrazzo, Heppell, Adcock, Lake, Spurr (Broughton, Darley)

I have had this backline since broughton went down and you can lock in spurr for a solid 70 every week, so this makes it really tempting to get in swanny who could possible win me the match, remember, swan is a DT GOD!
It's easy to say, just keep the trades for the GF, but you have to make it first you don't you?? So tempted, help will be much appreciated, you will earn a cheer for your advice. :)

Get Swanny in mate , put the big C on him, because he should make up the points u want in you're backline anyway. Could the person you are playing also get Swan, or do u know he has no trades? Either way, i'd get Swanny asap

Call me crazy but I'm going against the tide and saying get Goddard in for Spurr. Putting the C on Ablett will get you points and You've got Gibson as really good cover for Selwood.

I think the temptation is to get swan but you have gibson who could cover for selwood and your backline is weak with Lake D6 who has a shocking record against geelong for points.

I would upgrade Broughton to either Goddard (playing gws this week) or Grimes who has been scoring well the last month.

If  choosing to upgrade in he backline you would want to make sure you can switch Sexton out for someone decent to cover for Mitchell and Pendles in case one of them pulls out late. Also I'm not convinced Ablett will be in the same ballpark as Swanny this week. I'd captain either of Beams or Stevie J over him.

Get swan and start spurr. Swan has a great record in perth and I cant see him not tearing up my team on saturday.
