Couch the sub?

4 trades left, no cash in the bank but byes in all my leagues this week..

Do I trade Treloar for Couch this week before his price rise or back him in to get the green and only a small increase next week?

My only thinking here is Treloar rests this week but comes back for Devon Smith next week (who I also have & could trade for Couch next week)

Don't know why you'd bother. Especially with a bye this week. Couch has terrible JS - every chance he wont even play next week. Only reason I would consider it is if you need to earn some cash and don't need Couch as cover - if that is the case then yeah reasonable idea.

Have Smith & Gibson as cover, pretty reliable hopefully. Purely for cash as I only have 9k in the bank

Why trade Treloar who is scoring at a premium rate for Couch, who is scoring at a couch rate?

Mainly because I also have cover in the form of Smith & Gibson, with 4 trades left and 2 upgrades needed the cash has to come from somewhere?

Could wait a week and hope Lee from Essendon goes ok?

Smith isn't the most reliable cover with that revolving door policy down there. Think it's worth waiting a week to see who's playing next week

The main benefit of banking some money this week is I can do a double upgrade next week for a sudden death clash

Have held onto Ellis long enough so he will become Waters & will upgrade Zorko to Pendles/Watson but must get the cash this week to pull it off

I only traded in Couch this week as I only had $10k and I needed to recreate my mid-fwd link so that I could move one of my decent mid-fwds into the mids as an emergency this week (with Swan sidelined, and Baguely dropped who I've traded to Couch). I only did all of this becasue I AM playing this week. It sounds like you're not playing any league amtches this week, so I'm not sure that it warrants the trade. The only benefit is that you get the option to do 2 upgrades next week, but Treloar should be back next week and has shown epic form, whereas Couch may well be dropped/subbed for the rest of the season. It all comes down to your coverage, but I'd have thought Treloar would be your first option for coverage with the way he's been scoring, having a reliable emg cover is paramount int he finals.
