Given Judds form this year could he also be a nomination.

speaking of judd. was his suspension for 3 weeks? how come he didn't play on the weekend?
His suspension was 4 weeks.

CLoke is this year's floppiest player.

Also Stanton has gone right off the boil.

Newman, Goodes, Broughton are others who have already been mentioned.

Love this thread.

The Bomber

Brian Lake? Used to be a player who you could bank 100 on. I remember between him and Gilbee one year there was a month where they both scored 150+ every week for a month. Not both scoring just one week Gilbee one week Lake. Anyways his ceiling has dropped and low scores even further...

Don't think Goddards a lock defender anymore. Although saying that he is still averaging 100, it's just we've come to expect so much more!

locknload

Totally Agree with
J Brown, N Roo, S Black, A Goodes and C Newman.
Dont agree with C Judd just yet.. think he still has a bit left.
Same with Goddard, there just arent many DEFs better than him.
Dont agree with Cloke.. he never was a premium year in year out (same with guys like Hargrave, Lake and Drummond) like the above
Chappy is a tough one, he is definitely showing signs of slowing down but is still putting up great scores.

I would add Boomer to the list.
And Joel Corey. I am also adding Luke Hodge to the list.. was the best when he had DEF eligibility.. then he lost it and now the injury.. does not look promising
Sam Fisher I am adding, he was a monster up until this year.

I agree with Sandilands too, no longer the lock in the ruck.

The main one that bucked the trend was Matthew Pavlich. This is by far his best season yet!

Here is a fun read from 2011.

Boomer is one for me if he plays on next year. Love his heart but his points differential has been geting larger every year

LAKE has been doing it tough down back this season with little or no help. If Morris,Williams and Markovic were all fit and firing Lake could pump out regular 100s.

GOODES has been struggling but I can't write him off completely just yet. Wait and see on that one.

BOOMER struggles with the tag and with huge midfield depth at the Roos - not going near him.

For me this was CHAPPYs' last hurrah. He's mostly been solid, just a few niggles as usual and these will continue with age, as will spending more time forward than mids. Picked him with confidence this year but not for next.

O'KEEFE is an SC machine and I think he has 1 more year in him.

PAVLICH is an underated superstar and will benefit from Fyfe being fit. He's got another year as well.

NROO and JBROWN have both past their SC best.

Would never pick DRUMMOND anyway

SANDILANDS is an interesting one. IF he stays injury free he can still score well and be a good POD. Wait and see.

I didn't pick FISHER this season because a.) Even though Dawson is a spud he took the best or 2nd tall b.) Gwilt was injured for much of the year c.) Wasn't sure how the new coach would affect his role/scoring. Add to this he was injured as was Blake and he didn't do much this year.
But next year is a different story. A strong possibility for me.

BLACK will likely be used more sparingly as an impact player to extend his career. Underated champ but def a yesterdays hero.

GODDARD if still a DEF/MID is still a lock.

Wish I'd taken the punt with HAYES this year. Proved all those "oh he's 32 coming off a knee-reco no way he'll do any good" people wrong. Not next season though - he'll have lost his cheap price.

Love this thread also.
