What does history tell us when it comes to a player coming back from a 4+ week injury? I learnt the hard way picking up Goodes the game he came back as a POD against my opponent that round and he scored a massive 25 points. But then you have players who don't miss a beat eg. carrazzo (132),  murphy (112) or fyfe (87).

Why I am asking is because i'm wondering if Buddy is the type who needs a couple of games to get into it or will come out and kick a bag? My forwardline is missing one of Buddy or Beams which will be next weeks dilemma if i make it that far.

Carrazzo and Murphy were upper body injuries, so they were probably able to still do a lot of lower body (cardio) work. Goodes was a lower body injury. So is Buddy. I would guess that he's been restricted in running/cycling, and would expect that his fitness will have suffered when he comes back.

good points about upper and lower injuries. looks like i'm leaning towards beams atm. another player that has caught my attention that would only involve one trade is steve johnson. playing purely midfield since round 16 producing big scores but i don't know if my team will be good enough without a beams or buddy.
