Another week...same decision.

What do to for trades this week? 4 trades left.

T.Adams to Casboult (or Couch if named), Horsely to Pendles
5 (26.3%)
Darley to T.Bell, Horsely to Murphy
6 (31.6%)
Hold out for another week, as it leaves only 2 trades. Although Pendles will go up (new BE of 103), Adams and Treloar have low BE's too.

Which risk do i take?:

1. Having too little trades
2. Having Pendles/Murphy going up by too much?

Spinking

Personally I would hold off, but if you are keen to make the trade I'd lean towards the trade that brings Murphy in and leaves you with Adams.

Murphy probably won't score as highly as Pendles for the next two weeks, but I reckon will match him in the final 4. Taylor Adams however is quality bench cover that I wouldn't ditch at this stage. Is there another way you could get Pendles and keep Adams?

Yes, by trading Treloar.
Or, if S.Shaw plays this week and goes up by about 40-50k with a BE of -7, but can't see that happening.
Or if Gibson goes up to about the same price as Treloar/Adams.

Hard choice! Sounds like you've got very good rookie bench cover there. S Shaw won't play so rules him out.  I think Treloar is the least consistent of those mentioned, but is still a very good scorer. Others might have a more informed opinion than mine as to which is most likely to play all remaining games...

Thanks, I think i'm leaning towards holding off another week..

trades are like GOLD at this stage of the year -  you should wait til finals then pull the trigger and bring in pendles

+1 trades are essential for injuries come finals. By holding u will get a better indication into who to oust out of treloar and adams, and also seeing if couch comes back. Who knows sheeds said he wanted his first yearers to play around 14 games. Treloars played 14 And adams 11. Might not be a factor but waiting a week would probs be the best option man :)  option 1 after this week is defs the way to go if u feel it is essential to get Pendles!

jamesalex

For option 3 i forgot to mention Murphy, who has a BE of 13.. will go up by a lot so might as well get Pendles if I wait, right?

May as well get Pendles. Think maybe Treloar is more likely to get rested than Adams but u never know. (Treloar 14 games Adams 11 missed 1 recently)

QQ. What does your bench cover look like? You have both Treloar and Adams who have the similarly high JS and scoring houtput (for rookies) but do you have a Gibson or Yeo in the midfield as bench cover aswell? Or are these two your only playing rookies?

I say this because Pendles is a much better pick than Murphy. Crunch time of the season and if you get one bad game of any of these two then you are screwed... Pendles has had his 1 bad game of the season, Murphy has shown he has learnt to cop a tag. Can Murphy sustain this, doubtful whereas Pendles will score 120 per week. BUT if you lose too much bench cover then the benefit of Pendles over Murphy is negated. So if you have adequate cover get Pendles, if not get Murphy.

Again trade this week given it is is crunch time and points are rising in value every week compared to the dollar and trades...

Thanks, once I get Pendles in for Horsely/Jmac, this will be my midfield: Ablett, Pendles, Swan, Selwood, Thompson, Boyd (Horsely/Jmac, Gibson)

Is that good enough cover? Obviously won't have DPP.

You want at least one reliable bench cover on each line (bar rucks). Gibson is that reliable bench cover. Get Pendles...

I don't need a win this week though, and what if someone gets injured?

Still do it?
