Wow. Simply wow. Got love the constant inconsistencies of the MRP. >:(

QuoteLindsay Thomas, North Melbourne, has been charged with a level three engaging in rough conduct offence against Daniel Nicholson, Melbourne, during the third quarter of the round 18 match between North Melbourne and Melbourne, played at Etihad Stadium on Saturday July 28, 2012.

In summary, due to an existing poor record, he can accept a two-match sanction with an early plea.

Based on the video evidence available and a medical report from the Melbourne Football Club, the incident was assessed as negligent conduct (one point), high impact (three points) and high contact (two points). This is a total of six activation points, resulting in a classification of a level three offence, drawing 325 demerit points and a three-match sanction. He has an existing bad record of 60 demerit points carried over from within the last 12 months, increasing the penalty to 385 points and a three-match sanction. An early plea reduces the penalty by 25 per cent to 288.75 points and a two-match sanction.

Watching the zoomed in version i woudl say fair call. But when you watch what happend before where the guy was running than cut right infront of thomas. its a bad call.

IMO that didn't deserve weeks regardless of whether Nicholson got in the way or not, yes he dumped him without the ball, but it's not like he was dumped on his head or anything, whatever it was that hurt nicholson, surely you can't say it was that Thomas intended to hurt him like that

EDIT: I was looking at totally the wrong thing until I looked at footage on 'the verdict' just now :-[ :P. After seeing that I think even more so that the bump should not be worth anything, he didn't take him high at all and I don't see how that could possibly be classed as high impact ::)

roo boys!

Absolutely ridiculous. Doing their best to make sure we don't make finals ::)

KoopKicka

Sigh, no way that was worth two weeks. :/

Holz

with the amount of tackles swallow does, he will probably get done for something at some stage.
