Well Robinson is out, Sidebottom is out, Couch is out and Hall is out...

Got Taylor adams subbed forward to cover one donut but I do not think I can risk have one on the field. In 5 leagues so there is always a tight game (kinda regretting 5 leagues atm...)...

Current Team:
Goddard, Deledio, H. Shaw, M. Suckling, Lake, Ellis, Carrazzo (S. Shaw, Spurr)
Pendles, Gablett, Swan, Jelwood, Watson, Priddis (Couch, Yeo)
McEvoy, Giles (redden, orren)
Danger, Chappy, Lewis, Goodes, Zorko, Sidey, Robbo (Adams, Hall)
5 trades - $115,700

Took a gamble last week hoping Giles would get at least 80 odd and Griffin 100 odd so I could do that upgrade a week later. Kinda backfired on me so the best ruckman I can bring in for Giles is Minson or Hale or Bellchambers...

SO I was thinking instead of just covering the donut and going Robbo to beams.

Seems like a must have player come finals and Robbo is out for some unknown reason, so I doubt they Carlton will rush him back and then it could be recurring etc etc.

Other option is to trade him to someone like Dusty (a bit worse) but also allows me to trade Giles-->Griffin. 2 trades for almost the same benefit as the one to Beams.

One negative is I also have Shaw, Swan, Pendles and Sidey so getting Beams will be my 5th collingwood player in my team (yet I despise them like 80% of the population...)Too many from one team?

Also captain material? Raked it up last week can he do it again???

(NOTE: I'm happy with Ellis/S. Shaw covering my D7 given the defensive premos (bar Deledio) are spudding it up this year)...

Yeah go for it mate... you are ahead of a LOT of people in terms of trades with 5 left and doing this trade will benefit you by about 20 points a week. With Giles, it actually isn't a bad idea to stick with him as he has an easy draw from here (except for collingwood this round) playing port, gold coast, melbourne, saints and north.

i would hold them (they'll both likely be back next week). use the trades to upgrade ellis when he tops out.

Spinking

Yeah I'd hold both of them. Use your benchies to cover those donuts.

Agree with the hold option. If this was my team I would focus on Turing Ellis into Scotland, Giles into Cox/Jacobs and getting in an underpriced, swinging M7/F8. The last one is optional, could hold that trade for the general or injuries.

Cheers to all...

I am hoping that they will both be back next week but not sure about Robbo anymore. Late replacement last week, listed as calf everywhere so it may be more than 1/2 week issue...

Also I don't have enough rookies to cover all my donuts this week. Also doubtful I can make finals in maybe 1-2 of my leagues if I lose (byes were a ----)...

Ellis --> Scotland (on current form) gains an advantage of +20 ppg, but costs almost 200k (another downgrade)...
Robbo --> Beams =  same points gain with less cost...
Giles --> better ruck I guess gets me more points but again requires a downgrade or Robbo-->Dusty  :( Really worth it the extra trade, given this seasons run so far?

Ellis averages less than 60, Scotland over a hundred. I know you said on current form but 2 games scoring over 80 is not a big enough sample size. 2 out of his past 6 scores begin with a 4, this is a fact. Be mindful not to look for evidence that backs up what you want to do. The good news is you can have another week to have a look and see if he looks more likely to average 80.

Trading a premium out at this stage, missing only one more game most likely just seems a waste of a trade. Anyways, hope it goes well for you, which ever way you go
