lost a bit of direction with my old mans team. help please!

been helping my dad trying to win his league this year. about a month ago i had a plan set for him and his team was looking really strong. now with a certain out of form, out of health, out of position fremantle defender i'm not really sure which way i should advise him to go.

he has 6 trades left and 63k. his team atm is:

lids, godd, scotland, heater, carrazzo, broughton, ellis (shaw, darley)
ablett, boyd, thompson, jellwood, swan, pendles (gibson, pfeiffer)
cox, maric (redden, campbell)
franklin, sidey, beams, chappy, danger, dustin, zorko (t adams, smedts)

the original plan was pfeiifer>couch and ellis>waters (when ellis tops out), leaving him with 4 trades left for finals. now i'm just really unsure what he should do with broughton. should he keep him until the eve of the finals, then upgrade him (using 2 trades), keep him for good and hope he turns it around, or downgrade pfeiffer>baguley, semdts>couch and double upgrade ellis and broughton to waters and birchall asap.

Wait on Broughton, see how long he is going to be out for, if more then 3 weeks must trade him, your dads team is pretty good , to win leauge must have at least 4 trades left for finials

i think i've actually answered my own question by the way i'm reacting to ur replies (thanks btw). i think i'll tell my old man to trade ellis to waters when ellis peaks, then wait until the eve of finals to upgrade broughts to birch, because having only 2 trades left with two weeks to go before finals is cutting it too fine imo.
