It was only one game, but with our hard running mids I'm not sure if the small confines of the SCG suit us any more. Thoughts?

BTW how good is Pykey going? Those contested marks yesterday were premium!!

Pyke is playing out of his skin atm. I was thinking about getting him at the start of the season and should have instead of getting those spuds Big O or Redden.

I think our game plan is starting to evolve and become more like the pies of previous years with alot of hand balls in close and fast wingers ready to get the ball and bounce. With a midfield of JPK, Jack, Bird, McVeigh, Bolton, Jetta, Danhan and with the likes of Goodes, ROK, Eski, Smith and Shaw occasionally going in, this will be the way forward for the Swans. We also still have Parker to come back and youngsters Nippa and Mitchell to boost up the mids

Yeah I think we've got better on other grounds, but at the same time we still have that advantage of the home ground seeing other clubs struggle. Pyke was amazing as was McVeigh 8)

However I think we kind of need a small boost. I can't tell you how many times I pulled my hair out when they kept making bad decisions with handballing. St. Kilda really were just being carried entirely by Milne and we should of put them away by a good 7 goals. Also Grundy and Goodes? Goodes didn't look at all useful in the centre I really feel he's more dangerous from the goalsquare now.

I really have no idea what has happened to Grundy these past 3 weeks. To be frank, he's being playing like a C grade defender. Over the last couple of weeks he's made some really bad clangers where he had plenty of time to avoid them. I remember against West Coast he stood with the ball for 10 seconds and then handballed into the opposition in front of him. WHY DID HE NOT KICK IT

Rant over/summarised, I'm probably a lot more frustrated than i should be given we're 1st but it ain't over yet

yeh, we should have played alot better on the weekend, yeh it was slippery but they made some really bad and dumb decisions. We should have won by more and finished off the game alot earlier

there were several chances we had to spoilt as well as we slipped over, i know Pyke missed 2 like that

It is going to be so interesting to watch the Pies game at ANZ.

This will show whether our game style has gone away from the small SCG and I think it has.

The positive is that I think the run and stun, slingshot game is also more suited to the MCG than ever before
