Do you guys reckon Dayne Beams has a chance at the brownlow?

Kellogscrunchynut

My first though would be that Swan would take too many votes from him, but there are games where he has been the best on ground and
also many games that he could pick up 1 or 2 votes so yes I believe he could be a dark horse.

Spinking

Has played very well this season, but as mentioned above too many votes going to Swanny, and also Sidey and Pendles.

Y'all don't need to worry about all this. The top 3 will be Watson, Thompson and Beams. The end.

Nothing has changed.

Capper

i think that Swan, Pendles may have taken some of the 3 votes off him, Stanton would have done the same to Watson and Danger to Thomo.

Watson the current leader, just imo

Jay

Beams wont win...swan pendles etc stealing votes

2011: Swan won't win. Pendles and Thomas will steal too many votes  ::)

probably not,  ive got him at about 5-6 votes short of watson atm.. so he would need atleast 10 more votes to have any real chance.. maybe worth a punt for top 3 , but even thats only a slim chance

Nice work Noz. It obviously a bit of guesswork, but gives a clearer picture on this. Cheers.

Yeah it is guess work might also work out Watson, Ablett and Thompson's points at this stage and put a bit of money on who i have in front

Jobe Watson   $5.00
Scott Thompson  $5.50
Gary Ablett           $7.00
Dane Swan           $9.00

Massive smokey apart from Dayne Beams ($34) is Josh Kennedy ($26) some great value there from both men especially Kennedy who should poll most 3 votes in the early part of the season, I have Kennedy so far on 19 votes my real outside chance to win it. Should poll against the Suns, Carlton and Bulldogs then all he needs to do is have a blinder against one of Collingwood/Hawthorn and Geelong and he should be placed nicely.

My current leader board

1. Scott Thompson - 22
2. Jobe Watson - 21
3. Gary Ablett - 20
   Dane Swan - 20
4. Josh Kennedy - 19
5. Dayne Beams - 15
   Scott Pendlebury - 15

*This is only guess work and i am only doing the guys i reckon have a shot

I would have given Beams 3 against GC. Ablett had 5000 possessions but Beams was a standout. He's a goalkicking midfielder, which umpires love.

Noz

Would still put Thomas ahead of Beams

Thomas - 32 touches 20 contested possessions, 11 Clearances and 3 goals
Beams - 32 touches 16 contested possessions, 7 Clearances an 1 goal

Then you could argue that Thomas was playing on Ablett who did get 53 touches so that could improve Beams chance more to get the 3 votes.

I only have Beams on about 11 - 13 votes in my count from memory. I have Swan taking more votes from him than what you have.
