Am I better off cutting corners by getting Goodes & McEvoy which leaves me enough $ to upgrade a back to Scotland or Birch in a week or two OR spend all my $ & get the best - Chappy & Cox?

its me lads

I dont think it is really cutting a corner by getting Goodes in. He is a proven gun and should be as good as chappy, as for the ruck department you should get Cox unless your other ruck is Maric in that case you can cut corners a little bit. Who is your other ruck?

not quite sure how you cut corners by upgrading 3 players. Goodes is a gun, mcevoy will do the job , and finishing a backline with a very proven scorer such as scotty or birch in 3 straight trades is very important as you can save trades for later on in the season as well as maximising backline points potential. ;)

Cheers its me lads, Maric is my other ruck. So you reckon Maric & McEvoy should hold up. I tend to agree tho I am worried that Cox can put paid to my entire season in the blink of an eye if he hits his ceiling. He was the reason for my L last week  :o The only thing possibly against Cox is his prelim & GF. Coll & Hawks, I would guess most blokes average less than usual against those 2.

Agreed Ash A, barring a reversal of trades this will happen, just a little worried come finals, when everyone has a finished team, that I may get caught a little short & regret not having Cox & Chappy. Like you say tho, I have to consider that I get a back upgrade aswell. Ahh, like so many coaches, I want my cake & eat it too!!!.

no problems, i think Maric and Mcevoy should be fine. Cox could fire but that's just a chance you have to take. You might be right about Cox not doing aswell in those two gamnes

Cox vs         Round            Score
Hawthorn    Round 4 2011    79
Collingwood round 10 2011  113
Collingwood Q Final    2011    57
Hawthorn    Round 4  2012   81
Collingwoos  Round 13 2012   83

That shows that in recent times he doesn't actually dominate so you never know.

Cheers again for the research. Can I lock in 81 & 83?  ;D tho I would settle for anything under a ton or even 120.

I would actually back Goodes in over Chappy from here on out.. Less likely for a rest too.
