Lance Franklin has had a Monday morning medical check-up and can't guarantee he'll be fit to play against the Western Bulldogs this Sunday. The Hawthorn star said he suffered a corked buttock in Sunday's demolition of Greater Western Sydney, where he was subbed out in the third term.
"I have a little bit of a corky in the buttock, but should be right," Franklin said.
But Franklin denied he'd had scans for a more serious injury.
"Nah, just caught up with the doctor just then, so hopefully I'll be right for this week," he said.
The Coleman Medal leader said he wasn't enjoying the intense scrutiny he's subjected to week in, week out.
"No I don't like it mate, I'd rather just keep it low key, and just play football mate."

he should've taken the week off - would've kept healthy and given the muffins a key W with Smedts the saviour coming in off the bench.

Is "the corked buttock" just a cover up so he doesnt look like an idiot when in actual fact he has hurt the hammy further because he shouldnt have played?

I wouldnt be suprised
