D8 - Ellis or Hargrave

At the moment have gone Ellis - Carrots leaving Hargrave as D8. This is purely done on JS, however now im not sure as to who has the better JS. Ellis is young and is playing nearly every game, however Hargrave has been suspect to late withdrawals, is old, and his form is questionable.

With Hargrave on an extended bench and Ellis named off a wing (again), would I be better off saving 50k and going Hargrave to Carrots with Ellis D8 and perhaps a better JS?

Ellis has played more games than Hargrave?

Surely that means he has the better JS. But Grave has the better scoring potential of the two.

Get rid of Hargrave for the extra cash if you're just gonna sit him on the bench.
