What they should do

I reckon the AFL should take a leaf from the book of European soccer and instead of percentage choosing whom is placed ahead on the ladder, a head to head aggregate of the games the respective teams played against each other decide who is placed higher on the ladder.
In the recent Euro soccer championships Greece and Russia were placed in the same group, with the result of Greece winning and going through to the next stage even though their goal difference (for those who don't follow soccer is their version of percentage) was lower than Russia's. Also Imagine of your team was placed ninth due to percentage and they had beaten the team placed eighth, you would be rather annoyed with the system although have probably accepted it since it has always been around. Although if three or more teams on the same amount of points in the ladder a "mini ladder" that displays only the games which those teams have played against each other are shown.

Please add your opinions I would like some feedback.

pretty bad idea.

something like that might work for soccer because of the low scoring system (generally you're not going to have a game with more than like 8 goals total scored in it), while in afl there's high numbers of scoring shots and points, meaning the % works out to be a reasonable way of measuring a teams performance. Like for instance, if richmond, north and st kilda finish 8, 9, 10th respectively, with only 1% difference between the teams. By your system, if north had beaten richmond, then they should make the 8 right? but what happens if st kilda had beaten  north, but loss to richmond?

baiscally, no.

Percentage would be the secondary option when there is a situation like that.

Sounds brilliant if you ask me.

"They" should leave the flowering game alone.

flower soccer and flower you!

It makes sense but there's no real reason to change the system they've got.
