Rookie Alert! Help a brother out! (Pic Included)

Hey guys,

Need a little help with my team, first year playing supercoach so im still learning.

The current issue is that this week in my league has most of the top 8 playing each other, and in a tight league a win would be excellent, only problem is, im looking at 7!! doughnuts because of injuries and players not playing. I know that in the sceme of things, going without a win to help my team in the long run is probably more beneficial, so i dont want to do anything rash just to get the win this week.

Anyway, heres the team with the cash and trades remaining:



Long term plan is to do the following:

Clarke to Carrots when he bottoms.
Treloar to Prem mid this week (cant decided which one)
Kruezer to Rook Ruck then Giles to Maric.
Porpoise to prem forward.
Bartel to a prem mid who has a shower game and bottoms out late in the season.

This would keep on the bench for the finals: Spurr, Ellis, Couch, Rook Mid (Gibson), Big O, Rook Ruck, Milera, Elliot.

Any advice or thoughts would be greatly appreciated!!

Someone please tell me how to give cheers so i can give them to people for help, i genuinely cant work it out?! haha.

If i were you my trades this week would be

Horsley> Priddis (saves you a donut and priddis is at a great price)
Milera> Crozier/Couch
Porpas> Beams

This means that your midfield and forwards are complete!
I dont think your rucks need another prem. Giles is deffinetly a good enough R2.
Downgrade Kreuzer to someone like Pattison (94k) And then you just need to then upgrade clarke or shaw to a prem and your team is complete

Zorko, Giles, Clarke/shaw all worthy keepers (pick one of clarke or shaw)
Oh and treloar is good bench cover

P.s I havent worked this out as far as cash goes but i think this would leave you with a fair bit of money! If all is going well with injuries late in the year then you can think about using the cash and a trade to upgrade someone that is under performing

This week ive settled for:

Horsely to Swan (C) to avoid a donught and;
BigO to Campbell just to free up some cash for upgrades which will be happening in the next couple of weeks.

Should go like this:

Next week: Treloar to Gibson and Porpoise to Goodes,
Week after: Clarke to Carrots

That leaves me with 4 trades and barring any LTIs maybe some late season upgrades to Pearce, Bartel, Dempsey and/or Giles/Kruezer.

Yeah i like it.
Only issue is trading treloar next week. If your going to trade him then do it this week as he has a BE of 130 he will fall alot after this weekend

So i took on some of the advice given the other week, and this is what my team looks like this round, after using my two trades for the week::



This week ive gone:

Milera >> Gibson (moved Couch up front)
Giles >> Maric

Can anyone see any issues here? I know ive left Clarke in, but the plan is to get Carrazzo for him next week, and do Porpoise to Goodes the week after.

That will be round 16, so ill have 3 trades for 7 rounds after that. Pushing it, but i should be able to manage.

Carrazzo will fall in price the same amount Clarke probably will. So no money gained or lost there, but by doing the trade this week you get more points (Clarke-->Carrazzo)...

Ellis-->Fisher next week and you can watch the points flow in for the rest of the season

Looks a pretty decent team. But like others have said I woulda left Giles.

The idea of keeping Giles doesn't appeal to me very much but I can see where you're all coming from. Do yas reckon that upgrading Giles, or even Kruezer later on would still be beneficial, or should I just keep both for the season and fix elsewhere? Would flowering love Maric, but if it's not going to help me out too much getting him, points wise, then I'll fix up my team elsewhere.

I eventually worked that out, because I can now see the Cheer/Boo buttons haha!

Also, if i was to upgrade Clarke this week, thoughts on going Clarke to Scotland rather than Clarke to Carrazzo + 30k??

Given where your team is at with trades, etc. clarke needs to be a keeper imo. Ellis to carrots. One trade.
