Stuck in a sticky situation. Didnt offload clarke to broughton or heppell last week and plan to do it this week. Clarke had a shocker and has leaked a little too much cash than I was hoping.

Next week I am planning on going mcdonald (currently 299k) --> Carrazzo (should be 375ish). I cant see carrazzo dropping to the 364 AC says. He projected for an 82 but I have him pencilled in for a 110 to make things easier and so im not left short on cash. Could even score more and barely drop.

If I go to heppell I will have $78k + McDonalds price rise (say 5k and assume worst ie clarke) meaning 382 to purchase him next round. (78 +305= carrazzo)

But I really wanted to get in broughton instead of heppell. If i do that I only have 63k in the salary cap to work with and mcdonalds price rise. So 63k + 305k = 368 and maybe not carrazzo.

Marty clarke has really screwed my plans over as I wanted him to only drop to 300k but instead lost points on not bringing in another dud in broughton.

Another thing that worries me was that game against essendon by broughton was one of his worst games and I really consider him lucky to even make it to 57.

Other alternative is a smokey like hanley.

TL;DR- risk being short on cash for upgrade next week by bringing in brougton instead of heppell?

i rate heps more highly than broughton. He is over his injury and will start scoring his high 80's-90's again. also under an injury cloud

FREMANTLE defenders Chris Mayne and Greg Broughton sent a scare through the Dockers camp when they crashed into each other in a contest in the third term of the side’s narrow loss to Essendon on Saturday night.

Broughton was groggy after the clash and may be monitored for the effects of concussion in the lead-up to the Dockers’ blockbuster against the Magpies in Round 14.

We know Broughton has a higher ceiling, but he hasn't really come close to it this year, nor does he look like he will. With an injury cloud due to concussion last week. Heppel is a better option at this point.

Heppell by a county mile, broughton is walking headache.

Yeah but I feel broughtons higher ceiling could come into play as there draw softens up after collingwood. I know he is under an injury cloud as I saw the knock he took. Also I think the article is wrong as his injury was in the last 4 minutes of the last quater. So he essentially did nothing in the last quater before being concussed and lumbered his way to that 57.

Also broughtons role is also unkown as he seems to be used as a swing man and being played all over the field. Was basically playing forward last game. Either he is a swing man or he is the equivalent to the untalented kid in under 12's who just gets stuck in one of the pockets because others are ahead of him for midfield time.

Before that game he was pretty consitent too.

Broughts still a good chance to play I'd think.

But Heppell has been solid without being outstanding this year.

Cannot go wrong with him.  ;)

hmm, thanks for the input so far. Im sure this decision will keep me thinking about it all week.

Heppell was my first choice and looks like I might just commit to him. Next weeks decision will then be who to trade out for carrazzo out of hargrave and mcdonald haha. Decisions decisions.

With a few soft teams I know this might sound stupid but broughton has the potential to score 6-7 100's for the run home. D-hepps run is fairly hard which hopefully wont impact him too much.

Heppell for consistency I think. Broughton has a higher ceiling, but more risk.
