Some early ideas for fantasy coaches to consider when the preseason games come along.

West Coast vs Essendon
Look for improvement in their younger players, those who have played one or two years could step into bigger roles and bring in greater statistics.
Most of their forward line has disappeared, so that is something to watch for. Maybe D Hille makes an appearance during preseason, although there must be the chance that he isn't ready until during the regular season.

Adelaide vs Port Adelaide
P Davis could make an appearance, and if he plays well he should be there for round 1 of the fantasy games and a good choice for fantasy teams.
Jay and Jay could emerge as solid fantasy players, Nash with plenty of possessions and Schulz useful for marks.

Hawthorn vs Richmond
There will be changes up forward, down back and in the ruck, plenty of things for fantasy coaches to consider.
A new coach, expected to have a very different idea for how they should play and who should be playing in the yellow and black, that should mean a lot of new players from Richmond who can help fantasy teams.

Western Bulldogs vs Brisbane Lions
A new, volatile full forward will be something to watch at the Bulldogs.
A new, volatile full forward will be something to watch at the Lions.

St Kilda vs Collingwood
The Saints won't do a lot different, maybe Armitage will again star in preseason but that doesn't mean he will play all the time in the regular season.
What happens with Jolly, Fraser and Wood will be important for fantasy AFL.

Sydney Swans vs Carlton
The forward structure will be new, the ruck will be totally different too. If Hall and O'Loughlin are replaced by Bradshaw, then the former Lion should be a good fantasy selection. In the ruck, if Seaby and Mumford split the minutes down the middle and neither goes forward for some extra marks and goals, then maybe neither will be a must-have for fantasy teams.
A new forward setup at Carlton too, check to see if Henderson is playing there or in the back line, and watch to see if Waite is ready to go.

Geelong Cats vs North Melbourne
Watch to see if J Hunt is again an integral part of their back line, and maybe see if T Hunt is close to playing too.
The first chance for fantasy coaches to see what the new North Melbourne coach will do, and what players will emerge as fantasy players now they are free of Laidley.

Fremantle vs Melbourne
See who is in the Dockers' forward line, if Pavlich is in the middle then someone else will kick goals.
The midfielders Melbourne draft this year, like Dana Scully, and drafted last year, Blease and Strauss, could be players that fantasy coaches want in 2010. Also see if Watts is bigger and better.
