ADELAIDE spearhead Kurt Tippett is in serious doubt for the Crows’ blockbuster with glamour side Richmond in Round 14, after he copped a concussion against North Melbourne on Sunday.

Tippett suffered the concussion during the second quarter of the Crows’ shock loss to the Kangaroos and was subbed out of the match at half-time.

The influential big man will be monitored this week, along with young gun defender Sam Shaw, who suffered a knee injury in the loss to the Roos.

CARLTON copped another injury to add to the Blues’ long list of casualties so far in 2012, with defender Jeremy Laidler dislocating his knee in a VFL match while playing for the Northern Blues.

The Blues back man was in the process of a comeback from surgery on the same knee, which he first dislocated in a gruesome incident during the NAB Cup pre-season competition.

Laidler re-injured his knee as he attempted to contest a mark, twisting the joint which caused him to crumple to the turf, screaming in agony.

COLLINGWOOD lost back man Chris Tarrant in the final stages before the Magpies took on West Coast in Melbourne on Saturday.

Tarrant was a late withdrawal from the Pies’ exciting victory over the Eagles, with the club revealing the star defender failed to come up from soreness in his arm.

In better news for the Magpies, crucial midfield star Scott Pendlebury is rated a strong chance to return from a fractured leg against Fremantle this coming Saturday.

The ‘Pies also revealed veteran Ben Johnson could make a surprise return from a shoulder reconstruction way ahead of schedule, with the half-back training strongly and targeting an early comeback.

FREMANTLE defenders Chris Mayne and Greg Broughton sent a scare through the Dockers camp when they crashed into each other in a contest in the third term of the side’s narrow loss to Essendon on Saturday night.

Broughton was groggy after the clash and may be monitored for the effects of concussion in the lead-up to the Dockers’ blockbuster against the Magpies in Round 14.

Mayne injured his knee and leg in the collision, but pulled up well after the match.

BRISBANE lost key defender Matt Maguire at quarter time of the Lions’ massive win over the Western Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

Maguire appeared to suffer a serious elbow injury and while the joint was heavily strapped and he was sent back out onto the ground, he battled to overcome the painful injury.

HAWTHORN courageous skipper Luke Hodge is a string chance to make his much-anticipated return for the Hawks, after managing just two games to the half-way point of the season.

The skilful midfielder has battled calf, knee and back issues, but has undergone intensive re-conditioning training over the past weeks and faces crucial fitness tests this week.

NORTH MELBOURNE gun Jack Ziebell cast a shadow over the Kangaroos’ stunning win over the Crows, after he suffered a problem with his shoulder.

The Kangaroos declared Ziebell's injury was bruising in his shoulder.

PORT ADELAIDE forward Jay Schulz was released from hospital last Wednesday and is continuing to recover from serious internal bleeding.

Schulz won’t play for at least the next three weeks, while he is expected to return to training this week.

MELBOURNE big man Mitch Clark suffered a heavy concussion in a clash with Demons on-baller James Magner as their side triumphed over Greater Western Sydney on Sunday.

Clark appeared to suffer several injuries, struggling with knee and foot problems throughout the match and is certain to face fitness tests this week.

Magner could also face tests, after appearing injure his knee in the clash with Clark.

Demon Rohan Bail was a late out before the match, after failing to come up from a concussion.

i hope pendles comes back in ;)

me too! I started the year with pendles, swan, ablett who were all meant to be pretty solid, yet they all managed to sideline themselves for a couple of weeks... I need them fully fit because I have a few tough league opponents coming up, and the next one doesn't have pendles.

Cheers Rico. Not surprised to see Magner bung his knee up for the umpteenth time this year.

Looking forward to your New Prices/BE thread. An advanced request for Darley thanks ;)

Thanks Rico. Tossing up between getting rid of him or Ellis next week for Carrots. Will probably keep Ellis for his better JS. Just need Darley to put on another 10k or so to afford it. Should be fine based on your projection. :)

Disco DB

Greatful of Magners output this season (and for building Eastlink) but hopefully he's out for the season so we can get some T.Couch bargain downgrade action.
