Doubt Spurr would get over Duffield.

But Freo have about 4 changes to make (one ruckman)
I'm sweating on Duffield, he's proving to be my worst decision made this year

Gurans

reaaallly need him to play  :(

Watching Spurr play on the weekend i would have almost put my house on him not getting a game this week. I'm not sure what Lyon is up to but that selection would almost make me think he is tanking. Spurr done nothing to prove he deserved another shot, he turned the ball over way too much. Morabito however must be very close to a return he was really good.

Lyon gave Jack Anthony another crack and continues to play Zac Dawson, so form isn't a huge issue for him ;)

DT Gun

cant see him making it to be honest

Really don't think spurr and duffield are competing for the same spot. Duffield is the go to man at fremantle and creates all their play off half back. Spurr is a rough as nuts type of player who likes to get his hands dirty and will probably play a shutdown role or on a small forward more than anything (very similar to nick lower in a way, but probably not as suited to the midfield).

Ross lyon seems to like those rough type of players which is why I'm surprised spurr hasn't stayed in the squad as of late, but heres hoping that he can get back into the team, and find a spot amongst the defence alongside duffield. I think playing Spurr actually gives Freo the chance to release broughton into other roles.

If ever he was going to get a recall this would be the week.  Have so many out in the backline this week, but if he plays I could only have two donuts in the back, instead of the three that I'm likely to have, and that's without any late suprises.

Yeah well the senior coach Ross Lyon mentioned as a chance to play, I'll listen to him

I wouldn't be..... the same man ALSO said he was committed to St Kilda at the end of last season.

Duffield is a chance to come back in, as is Lower. Not much hope for Spurr, but you never know. With the loss of pace from Hill being out, I would be very suprised if Crozier doean't keep his place for his 3rd game this week.
I know, I know, he's tiny... but he's quick, great in traffic, and an excellent decision maker.

It's down to whether Lyon goes for big bodies against the strength of the Bombers, or pace to outrun them on Subi.

Not named and third in emergency list.

Duffield not named either :(
