Deledio, Goddard, H.Shaw, Birchall, Hargrave, S.Shaw, Darley   (Spurr, Ellis)

Ablett, Pendlebury, S.Thompson, Selwood, Dal Santo, Horsley   (Treloar, McDonald)

Naitanui, Giles   (Redden, Stephenson)

Franklin, Sidebottom, Beams, Dangerfield, Martin, B.Harvey, Zorko   (Cameron, Couch)

10 trades and $115,700 remaining

alright so this week i'm not really 100% sure on whether or not to trade.. i'll talk ya through what i was i thinking..

due to the byes, injuries, and just because some coaches are dicks, the players missing this week are:

Deledio, Goddard, Birchall, Ellis, Spurr (possibly) and maybe even Hargrave? H.Shaw? dunno

Ablett, Dal Santo, Pendlebury, Horsley

Redden

Franklin, D.Martin, Couch (possibly)

so i thought my midfield was looking pretty damn weak, because obviously Pendles isn't playing either. so i thought of going McDonald -> Gibson, Treloar -> Swan... but then i looked at my opponents side.

the players he's missing are

Deledio, Goddard, Birchall, Trengove, Ellis, Spurr (possibly)

Ablett, Gibbs, D.Martin

Redden

Franklin, N.Riewoldt, Betts, Couch (possibly)

so nearly all the players i'm missing, he's missing.. maybe even a couple more.

Swan's BE is about 134, McDonald's BE is about 55.. so looking at that i thought maybe i could wait a week, hopefully McDonald goes passed his BE, and HOPEFULLY Swan doesn't reach his. BUT the major problem with that, is Treloar.

Treloar's BE is about 132, so he's a massive chance to drop a big amount. i'm not sure how much, but i probably should be getting rid of him this week.

then i start talking myself into circles....

another problem with the McDonald -> Gibson, Treloar -> Swan trades is i lose my MID/FWD DPP link, but i don't think think that should affect me TOO much. i haven't really had to use this year anyway. always good to have though i guess  :-\

so basically.. do i go ahead with McDonald -> Gibson, Treloar -> Swan this week? or wait another week? are there any other trades i should be looking? should i change any of the names in the trades?

(i don't wan't to trade Horsley yet, i'm gonna ride it out and see if he can start making cash again then use him as a big downgrade to maybe someone like Docherty)

sorry about the long post.. man i hope it makes sense haha. any help is appreciated as always fellas :)

cheers

I rate Treloar above Horsley and with the bye this week Horsely looks like he wants to be traded out of your team.

So exit the horse and welcome Gibson or even Crozier.

If you want rid of Treloar it's now or never (assuming he's picked) due to his high BE.

Your backs are dodgy so start planning to get Scotland in after 2 - 3 more weeks when he drops a bit - or Carrazzo.

Swan can wait as you mentioned.

Hopefully Couch gets picked - your forward rookies will all still rise in value. Don't forget you can move Zorko into mids if you get rid of Treloar.

With approximately 17 keepers (ie 5 to go) and 10 trades left you'll get to 22 but probably have only 1 or 2 trades for LTI and The General.

Good luck.

thanks heaps mate :)

you got me thinking though, and i dunno if that's a good thing or a bad thing haha..

i got into the trades centre thing and i went Horsley -> Gibson.. and played around with it for a little and come up with a little plan.

say, i half tank this week. just go Horsley -> Gibson and leave myself with $342,600. (and i still might win this week anyway)

next week i SHOULD be able to go Hargrave -> Scotland, Ellis -> Carrazzo

Deledio, Goddard, H.Shaw, Birchall, Scotland, Carrazzo, S.Shaw   (Spurr, Darley)

Ablett, Pendlebury, S.Thompson, Selwood, Dal Santo, McDonald   (Treloar, Gibson)

Naitanui, Giles   (Redden, Stephenson)

Franklin, Sidebottom, Beams, Dangerfield, Martin, B.Harvey, Zorko   (Cameron, Couch)

leaving me with 7 trades left, i'm not sure how much cash i'd have (won't be much)  but still needing 1 back, 1 mid, and either one of 1 ruck, or 1 fwd.

HOPEFULLY McDonald and Treloar makes some more cash and then i can get Swan in my side in a couple of weeks. after that i'm just gonna wing it.

so i guess that leaves me with a couple more questions - are you sure i should be looking at getting rid of Horsley over Treloar? very similar averages over the past 3 and 5 weeks, but Treloar's BE this week is massive and Horsley's is 'getable' for him. also i make another $25k if i trade Treloar instead of Horsley. i could also get rid of McDonald instead of either of them, and that may come good due to him maybe playing a coaching role for the end of the season.

sorry to be a pain in the ass and ask more questions but this is a big decision for my team :P

thanks again for the help you've already provided, and please any more help is massively appreciated :)

Bill Manspeaker

okay so maybe a slight change of plans due to Hargrave being the weakest human being alive.

for the benefits of about $25k more, and also he's probably peaked (could be wrong), i reckon i trade Treloar over Horsley

Treloar -> Gibson
Hargrave -> Waters

leaving me with $194,300, next week i should be able to do a straight swap Ellis -> Carrazzo

the good side of that is i get rid of a donut in the backline this week, and also get in a pretty reliable player in Waters

the bad side of that is i miss out on Scotland for now. not sure how long it would take to get him into my side

i'm only after a league win, and i'm sitting 8th atm. which is flowered up because i've scored the 2nd most points. but the difference between 8 and 3 is only 1 game.. so if i lose another one, i should still be able to come home strong and finish in the 8.
after saying that.. i should probably wait for Scotland next week, but i just hate losing and that is a possibility this week due to the backline donuts (even though my opponent has a few too)

so i guess the new question is would Waters still be a reliable choice? or should i cop the donut this week, and get Scotland into my side this week?

any thoughts are appreciated fellas :) cheers

Bill Manspeaker

nah screw it, i'm just tanking this week. jumping on Scotland and Carrots next week.

reason being i'd honestly rather Scotland.. and if i get rid of Hargrave and Ellis this week, there goes my 2 highest cashcows for the backline. not sure how long it will take S.Shaw or Darley to get into striking distance of Scotland (even though Shaw is looking pretty good)

so i'm saying 'flower you round 13' and gearing up for round 14, and hoping that it was the right choice at the end of the year
