Thoughts on my midfield???

Ablett
Swan
Deledio
D.Martin
Green
Embley

Bastinac, Shuney

Blueboys

Rather have another rookie then Embley. Seems to be alot of good rookies (cashcows) in the mid, cash in $$$

CFC 1979

GAJ + SWAN. Lots of $ used there. Does not leave you much for quality elsewhere.

Cotchin looks good

Agreed don't waste time on embley

brodman_18

Top heavy midfield. Try some players that are underpriced and then upgrade to Swan and Ablett later in the season

Justin Bieber

get only one of ablett or swan. save yourself anywhere from 50k - 100k on another premium.

agree with the others on downgrading embley.

by the price of your midfield your other positions might not be that good like CFC said.

nickyt

just puting it out there, i reckon mark mcveigh is a decent pick up this year. He's very cheap and should score well provided his body holds up and he doesn't punch anyone :P

Justin Bieber

also shed 5kg from what i read.  ;D

plugger36

This a better midfield???

Swan
Deledio
Gibbs
Boyd
M.McVeigh
Martin

Shuey
Bastinac

bunyip

i like this one Plugger. I had Gibbs and Deledio in my team last year and they were excellent.

nickyt

i reckon i'd be trying to squeeze in trengrove somehow, but yeah very good apart from that

Justin Bieber

Just as strong as the other midfield but at a cheaper price ;D.

hibbo

Mildfield?  :P

It's a good midfield, but probably doesn't leave enough cash to make a good team across the board. 2010 is the year of the 'value midfield picks' - look at choosing players like Masten, Mackay, Ward, Dangerfield, Ziebell, Trengove, McVeigh etc.

Four top notch premiums is too much cash spent, look at a structure of 3 premiums, 1 midpricer and 2 rookies.

I think you can even get away with only two top tier mids and a couple of value picks. But i would definitely take notice of hibbos' advice . Oh yeh and McVeigh was fairly good last night...
