ok guys has anyone done this new trading system, where you get a 1d positional player and trade him then u can put a mpp player in his position and trade say a forward for a mid, just actually got it (probably a little slow but didnt think before!!) lol

so basically my team is:

Delids (BYE), Goddard (BYE), Scotland (BYE), Birchall (BYE), Broughts, Waters, Ellis (BYE)
Darley, Shaw

Stanton, Ablett (BYE), Pendles (INJ), Boyd, JSelwood, McDonald
Pfeiffer, Williams

Sidebum, Franklin (BYE), Robbo (BYE), Zaha (INJ), Martin (BYE), Zorko, Treloar
Hall (BYE), Adams

7 trades & $667k

so pretty much Im copping 6 donuts (before trading) because of these bloody injuries and byes
so Im thinking of going...
Zaha > Beams (traditional trade) - PRO=upgrade to super prem, save cash, cover a 0; CON=lose a trade
Hall > Swan (new way) - PRO=upgrade to a super prem, cover a 0, keep Pendy (was thinking Pend>Swan); CON=use $$$, lose dpp link to midfield (by moving Pfeiffer to FWDS for Hall to be traded to Swan)

Im thinking of holding on Ellis so I can get in Carrazzo next week or R15 (could maybe go Ellis>MJohnson this week)
Also soon thinking of grabbing Chapman for McDonald (he still has some cash to make) so that will give me my dpp MID-FWD link back, but then again would rather two links there for the handiness.

So those 2 trades would leave you looking pretty, then a trade to Carrazzo would have your team nearly complete with 4 trades remaining, but you would be stuck with Treloar AND Zorko in your fwd line. Zorko looks to be solid (but who knows what will happen in the 2nd half of the season), however Treloar has hit some sort of wall-shaped object.

If I was you with only 7 trades left I'd be keeping Zaha and going Hall/Treloar to the best fwd you can afford. Then when Zaharakis is back you have a complete team and 4 trades left for finals.

Yep, hopefully you should have just enough cash to make 3 upgrades and leave you 4 for the finals...

Hall to Swan should cost about 330k, Treloar > Beams will cost you about 220k, and Ellis > Carrots about 100k.... (hopefully) which should be just under your 667k budget! (I only have 5k left myself after bringing in Beams and Swan too!).

like the trades...but since u have only 7 trades left if i were u i wouldnt trade Zaha...Pfeiffer/Zorko would be enough to cover u for Zaha until he's back!

yea i think trade rooks and keep zaha, you can't afford to do sideways no more. but a quad is a prick will keep him out and it could flare up. but u get that.

i wouldn't say beams is a must have, but its just so much money!!! what if he crashes to 100-105 average? waste - i'd go PAV instead - you save 110k for future trades, and pav is underpriced and have played difficult opponents. i reckon pav could do 100-110 average, he is pav with huge runs on the board!

it aint awsome bad it aint bad - thing is freo will be going close to the 8, and be pushing for it - pav is the type to lift them and magpies will no doubt rest some stars if they look solid in top 2 or 4. itrs worth considering, i'm not trolling you, its jsut beams is 600k and is actually rather risky considering who you can buy for 100k cheaper.  - i got burnt when i bought in murphs for 640k!!!!

Heh, yeah I was wondering why you were so keen on Pav... he definitely has been more of a SC player this year, at least compared to Beams, who by the way is 527k in DT. I wouldn't look anywhere else, will most likely be the #1 avg player in DT this year I reckon.
