With no Carrol and C. Johnson at Melbourne in '09 will there be room for both Petterd and Grimes to get regular games. There prices are great but are they clear of last seasons injuries?

It is an interesting one. Only time will tell, at the moment i have Grimes and thought about petts. watch the NAB i guess. Melbourne unfortunately get alot of sunday games which means we dont get the teams only a squad. Think last year they had 12 or something games in a row on Sunday or Monday.

Scuzzlebut

It sounds feasible that they would both get games with NC and CJ gone, and if named in round 1, they are no-brainers. But Melbourne have (and I know they’re not all defenders) Robertson, Moloney, Mclean, Davey, and Rivers to come back, so there will be a lot of competition for spots.

Good call on Melbournes Sunday games Chad. If either Grimes or Petts are named on an extended bench it makes for an axious wait for the final teams. A slight gamble if in starting 22.

Both (Esp Grimes) are still priced OK for the bench but I would hope to start one of them.

Cant wait for the Draft.

Lakey91

Reckon its ok to have both on bench? Or one starting and other on bench? I have a feeling only one of them will ever play :(

Biggie

Petterd for sure.

Grimes, Im not sold.

A TEAM

i don't follow the demons but if petterd had a good preseason! i would
def. put him in! grimes maybe put him later on. Don't think melbourne can make the 8 so i might stay away atm

Hawks_1976

Better to give both of them a miss and consider Hurley to do an apprentiship under Fletcher with Mal Michael gone.

ShrewDext

That sounds wise Hawk 76.

Petterd is also Center eligable and with all 1st Rnd draftees copping a heftier price looks reasonable if he can crack a game.

GAJ2VEGAS

Undecided on Petterd, apart from his couragous effort in taking a hit to his body on saturday...what is the general consensus on how he wen't saturday against the hawks or is he a risk.....

grimes score of 150 on w/e means he is in for me

i'm pretty much banking on grimes to reel off double digit number of games to start the year and reckon a 60pt average would be the baseline to expect.
i was into petterd as a rookie but his frailty scares me.
