do u guys actually want to win this compition or just post your sides on here so everyone can get ideas and/or copy them???

Sams Town

I want to and will win  ;D
This is my second SC year and there is nothing to be gained by copying teams, as the cap forces you to take risks, the risks you take are based on research/luck/and your personality
Therefore you may troll this site and copy teams but its you at the end of the day who will pay for other peoples miscalculations not your own....

I am sure the team will change again before round 1. lol

It helps most when picking rookies. It's good to see what rookies people are going with and why.

You would be mad to copy another team because as said it could fail.
I like the feed back so I am fine posting. To win the whole comp is more good luck, I just want to beat my family and friends again to rub it in!  ;D

verda32

exactly everyone will have similar rookies, therfore reducing your chance of winning

antman

verda32 everyone can have the same rookies but it is what you do with them that makes the difference to everyones team. This is where you are lucky or skillful.

HillHero13

ALL my 3000 teams are tottally different
;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

Verda i believe we all post our teams in order to assure ourselves in the first instance that our selections have merit.

Even if we all started with exactly the same team let alone the same structure, we would most likely all end up with different teams given our trading decisions, i think Antman says it best

verda32 everyone can have the same rookies but it is what you do with them that makes the difference to everyones team.......

Each trade deserves full attention, research, skill and given our game a healthy dose of luck! Thus we post our teams in the search of a decent starting 30! Make no mistake that we'll all be here come the season fielding answers re new  rookie prospects and likely trades!

Over and above the selection ideas we get from this forum i just enjoy giving/receiving constructive feedback based on research and conclusions about a player, a line, or a team - i post here so that i can improve my overall position.

If you improve your ranking as a result of these discussions then great if not never mind! We'll all come back next year and do it again!

not good enough to go for a win. maybe a top 4000 this year for me. got top 8000 last year due to the fact ablett didn't play for a couple of rounds.

usually just play to beat mates and lose in the gf by 1 point in both leagues.  ;D.

no point using someone else's team, you don't believe in your players then. haven't posted a team up since early january i think.

too many teams are getting posting now with nab cup coming up. in the space of 15 hours there were a combined 6 new pages of new teams to rate in dt and sc. who can read through all that. ::)

It's a great way to get opinions on multiple players rather than several individual posts in the Players section.

In my opinion it should have nothing to do with copying and more to do with gaining opinions and getting things you may have missed pointed out to you (injuries, suspension, competition for spots etc) .

If someone does copy, more fool them. Where's the fun and sense of satisfaction in that.

Sams Town

Pweter great point. Also a person copying someones team has no idea of the short and long term strategy of that coach. So even with a good or perceived good copied team How can it possibly go the same perceived direction of that planning coach. Like Lozza said you can copy a team but they wont stay the same....

verda32

yeah but they will start the same, with all ur value picks and rookies
