I have to defend champion data here, first of picking every stat in the game is difficult and I would say the tackle is probably the rule most people get wrong. I see people watch games and alot of the time something they consider a tackle isnt counted as a tackle by champion data. I didnt see the game so i cant comment, if it was a tackle and they missed it than i a little suprsied they didnt review it. However i think they do a pretty good job. Im not sure if its different in the AFL but im pretty sure the score wont change.

+1
it must be an incredibly hard job, and no matter what happens each week there will always be armchair experts who dont agree with some aspect of their scoring

I just saw the final few minutes of the replay and that was barely a tackle!!! Unlike paddy dangers tonight which he tackled the guy then stripped him of the footy and gOt a kick but the tackle didn't count!! Tackles are very up in the air about what counts or not

If the ball is stripped at the start of the tackling motion it isn't really a tackle, you have to hold him up and whatnot. It's just a good strip/bump/whathaveyou.

Tbh I thought it was a tackle, but he didn't really bring him to ground before he kicked the footy.

They missed tackles all the time and they give tackles not there...

For it to proper count as a tackle (I did not see this tackle in question) the possession needs to be effected. e.g. if he gets a clean kick off it doesn't really count as a tackle as the 'tackle' didn't really effect/affect anything.

Players can wrap their arms around players with the ball if they want, it doesn't count for shower unless the ball is held up/clangered/turned over.
