Has anyone considered the fact that Captains scores would not only be better picked by looking at the weather?

Its shocking hurricane crappy weather in WA So i dont expect a captain to come from any Carlton or WCE players

Its windy and rainy in Adelaide making Adelaide and St Kilda players risky captains if the weather doesnt clear up

GWS and Richmond play in sydney and they expect rain on saturday

Gold Coast play North at Metricon and it is FINE AND SUNNY (GAZZA)

Hawks v Brisbane at the G it is going to be raining so captains may struggle

Bulldogs play Port at ETIHAD STADIUM (BOYD)

Calvins Captains is based on Numbers, but he doesnt consider the variable which is the weather!!
Say Buddy averages 123 against brisbane at the G, do you think he will score that well in the WET? highly unlikely..
Stanton wont get his cheap marks on the lead in the wet as easy, its harder to hit a lead in the wet and harder to hold the mark.

Based on this info i think your Captain Options this week should be

1) Gazza
2) Boyd
3) Toddy Goldstein

I wouldnt captain anyone else but one of these 3

PS I cant split Gazza and Boyd for number 1, so i picked Gazza on pure scoring potential..

Ricochet

i agree mate, it does need to be considered. Jelwood is probably one of the few that does score well in the wet

fertalong

I agree with you. It has burnt me in the past when factoring in the weather though.

An excellent thread and very well worth the time reading it..... so this week perhaps becomes a flip of the coin between GAJ and Boyd.... that's a tough one.

I agree with you, and I reckon gaz will be my best choice as I don't have boyd. Mitchell my also do alright as being an in-and-under player the wet nay suit him with more tackles, although he hasn't been in great form and will have to contend with raines (and rain).

JBs-Hawks

If it was sunny in Melbourne this week I'd be putting it on buddy this week, however no risks this week welcome to my team and welcome to the captaincy Matty boyd.

Well, the loophole is available, so a certain WC playa will be my VC, if he doesn't get 125+, Captain Boyd it is!

You would be silly not to, but i dont see anyone outscoring Boyd/Ablett in that game..

With all the shower that's gone on this year, never lose out on any opportunity...

I'm going with Ablett. Will bounce back from last week. I've learnt that if someone has a MASSIVE score(top score maybe?) the previous round, they're not as likely to get a big score again, they either do solid or crap.

Go for Gazza to bounce back and Boyd is my next bet.

With the Vice Captain Loophole, If you put your captain on say joel selwood and vice captain cox....

Will this mean that your captain is actually locked and your stuck with your vice captains score because if the team doesnt play the teams are counted as 0's at the start of the first game?

Makes sence to me!
