13 trades and $258,900 remaining

okay so i don't even know why i'm still bothering with SC this year. so many trades used.. so many injuries.. so much flowering pain

but i'm gonna keep kickin' and this week i thought of these trades

Morris -> Shaw
Sandilands -> Cox
D.Smith -> Dangerfield

$69,500 remaining

this will only leave me with 10 trades and still 2 backmen (if i keep Hargrave), 1 mid, 1 fwd and maybe 1 ruck, but if all goes to plan (no doubt it won't) that's 5 upgrade/downgrades and have a decent side.

my backline is a complete disgrace so i'm giving it the middle finger. i'd rather keep working on my forward line and get in Dangerfield who is killing it.

the main problem is the ruck situation, and i've read a few of the ruck posts but i still can't make up my mind. i really want Maric in my side but he still has his bye to come, so i'm ruling him out. the obvious big stand out then is big Cox.. but for some reason i'm not sold? i don't know why

so what are your thoughts on the trades? should i go ahead with them? should i change any of the names?

any thoughts are appreciated as always fellas :)

also that's not the team i will field this week, obviously gotta chuck bye players on the bench

cheers :)

bump :P

anyone? please any help is appreciated!

The Bomber

Nic Nat a better option than Cox IMO. More consistent. Has only score under 100 once this year and that was 90 something. Also 60k cheaper. Keeps 120k in the bank allowing one more upgrade (cheap upgrade), for your backline (EG Ellis --->Fisher/Suckling/Carrazzo when they bottom out at 400k ish).

Other trades look good. I would hold Zorko as your F7. Doesn't score that bad and with the number of trades remaining, he is a good option to play until the rest of your team is finalised.

Could you hold the Sandi trade for a week and go Horsely -->Priddis? Save yourself 2 donuts (from Horsly) and pick up a bargain Priddis?

Bill Manspeaker

thanks mate

yeah i think that's why i was a bit iffy on Cox.. because of the NicNat situation. and you make a very good point on NicNat's scores.. i reckon he's probably the best option for consistency for sure.

yep i'll be keeping Zorks for as long as possible, pretty reliable rookie for sure.

the only problem with picking up Priddis is the great Dane Swan or Watson has their name all over my last midfield spot. i already picked up a cheapie in Dal Santo and i'm half regretting it.. Priddis is extremely consistent though and was a very good pick for me last year!

alright so a slight to initial trade plans

Morris -> Shaw
Sandilands -> Cox NicNat
D.Smith -> Dangerfield

sound good?

thanks again mate

tor01doc

That's better.

Save a spot for Swan.

Cox v NicNat - 50 50 for mine so save a bit with NicNat.

Rambo

Those 3 trades are spot on in improving your team. I like the NicNat trade over Cox, they have very similar averages, but saving the extra cash will give you more options down the line for future upgrading.

There is no need to trade Horsley this week to save a donut as you have backup from Zorko and McDonald.

Sam Gibson is making his debut for North this week 26 year old averaged 28 disposal in the VFL last year, very handy downgrade option. (only $94,700) Next week you could then downgrade McDonald for Gibson and Horsley for Swan.

cheers fellas, that's what i'm doing then! hope Shaw gets named haha :o

why oh WHY didn't i have him VC though.. so stupid..

thanks again fellas :)
