Ryan HARRIS
Ben HILFENHAUS
David HUSSEY
Michael HUSSEY
Mitchell JOHNSON
Nathan LYON
James PATTINSON

How the flower did MJ get a contract over Cowan? o.O and how did Dave Hussey get one over someone like Dan Christian? o.O

According to CA they put more emphasis on Test Cricket, but yeah :/

Cowan should have got a contract. Better him opening than Watson so Watson can bowl more.

Hawka

Fair enough not to give Cowan a contract
theres empahis on Test cricket but also players who most likely will play all forms (ponting not included) and Cowan will probaly earn a mid season contract and so could a player like Bailey or Christasen or Forrest
to earn a mid season contract you earn 12 points
5 points for a test 2 for an ODI and 1 for a t20

D.Huss for a baggy green  ;D

Spinking

Im not sure how this works, but I read something about performance based payments rather than contracts, which I assume means - The contracted players are like full time staff, who just get paid week in and week out, whereas the others will only get paid if they play and on how well they play.

Anyone know anymore about this???

PowerBug

Is this contracts or the squad for England tour??

The new CA contracts Bug ;)

JBs-Hawks

Surely they must have the current test opener contracted.

9 bowlers, 5 batsmen, 1 alrounder and 2 keepers. Bit of an unblanced spread.

PowerBug

hmmm, it is too. But with only 17 players contracted, i guess that means they haven't decided on the rest?? Or they are jsut leaving it open to whoever performs closer to the start of the season.

Cicjose

There is a one off ODI between Ireland and Australia ATM

Aus bowling first

Ireland 3/36 from 10.4 (currently in a rain delay)

Nails

To be honest, I really like Cowan, I think he could be a great opener and he's the defensive type of opener we need at one end.

On the other hand though he's only averaging 29.83 to date and has a meh high score of 74 from 12 innings.

Cicjose

Ponting should be out to pasture but yeah

Haddin should not be there either but yeah
