Lyon's dirty Derby     
Fremantle coach Ross Lyon was coaching in his first derby on Sunday, and the team's 5.6 (36) score set new lows for the club.

It was Fremantle's lowest score at home and, by extension, its lowest score in a derby.

Lyon would have lamented the team's haphazard delivery inside 50 in the first half and the lack of forward entries (seven) in the second. Fremantle restricted the high-scoring West Coast to its third lowest score for the season, but that counted for little.   

Crowley ignores Kerr's advice
Derby week made an interesting start when Daniel Kerr told Fremantle, through the media, that he was not worthy of a run-with opponent given his poor form over the last month.

The premiership onballer had been held to fewer than 20 possessions on five occasions this season, and so he was again, winning 12 possessions against Ryan Crowley, who had five.

The tight attention on Kerr allowed players like Rosa, Andrew Gaff (29 disposals), Luke Shuey (26) and Chris Masten (25) to run free and capitalise.
