I understand that the main points in SC (and DT) come from in the midfield. Therefore, by picking cheap options in the midfield, aren't they more likely to rise in price, provided they are given the chance?

Well that's the theory...do you agree?

Goddard, Newman, Hodge, Carrazzo, Kennelly, Hunt, Waters + (Sheppard, Moore)
Ablett, Selwood, Vince, Swift, Trengove, Martin + (Morabito, Bastinac)
Jolly, Kreuzer + (Lobbe, Trengove)
Goodes, Riewoldt, Didak, Pavlich, Polkinghorne, Gumbleton, Davis + (Tapscott, Dennis-Lane)

Can you guys rate this from 1 to 10, plus any tips for improvement?

Hey Watto

The backs are quite strong, u know my opinion about Waters - Moore i've read on the big footy port boards could be considered a risk, more importantly gives u a source of cash if needed 8/10 nice line tho!

Mids - also my theory re the kids but i quickly changed them as the response wasn't good this line to me is solid and worth the risk 8/10

the rucks are very strong 8.5/10 two nice cows on the pine!

quite a reasonable front line too Dids maybe a little expensive - still should go well, he tends to miss games is my main concern 3 or 4 last year with a hammy and 4 in '08 for being drunk!

Team is overall very strong and i feel it is worth a solid 8.5 it shows me why u went very well last year!

Watto

You say Dids is a bit expensive - who would you recommend? I don't want O'keefe or Brown because i don't want Goodes + ROK, and Brown always, always starts slow - but yeah fev could change that.

But the remaining forwards are: Chapman - too injury prone, Davis - nup, ROK - see above, Brown - ",  Harvey -too old I think, Lockyer - nup, Fev - not for me, Petrie - suspended for 1st round, Sylvia - nup....

So for me the next option is Franklin @ $466,700, and I promised myself not to start with him.

So maybe that means I should get a mid - Tippett, Rioli, Murphy, and upgrade a mid - Trengove, Martin, Morabito - to Kerr or Burgoyne. Or Waters to someone, possibly Gram or even Waite if he's fit, that's also an option

But anyway thanks for the advice

yeah Watto i like Cyril as an option - his game is tailor made for SC, and there is talk of him getting some midfield rotation - tasty scores on the horizon methinks!
This should free up approx 140k!
My other option Harvey - i doubt his age will be an issue - he's and evergreen, if he had soft tissue injuries i'd agree - when he came back  he looked tentative when tackling but he did finish the year well. By all reports from the North board he has had a strong pre-season.
Just consider his numbers before you discard him - remember Goodwin last year and he is a couple of years older than Boomer.
