So my team is

Backs: Deledio, Goddard, Heppel, Malceski, Hargrave, Clarke, Dempsey.......Morris, Ellis

Mids: Pendles, Boyd, Magner, Shiel, McDonald, Coniglio......GAJ, Caddy

Rucks: Roughead, Giles......Sandi, Stephenson

Forwards: Buddy, Goodes, Danger, Chapman, Porps, D.Smith, Kennedy.......Cameron, Treloar

Trades left: 20
Cash in bank: 65,800

So i have 4 trade ideas and will need to use two

1. Caddy -> Horsley
2. Kennedy -> Adams
3. Kennedy -> Pattinson (opens up DPP link to move Roughy from Rucks to forwards allowing Giles to stay on ground as the best performing rookie if Sandi is named this week)
4. Goodes -> Sidebum/Beams

Stupid 2 trade limit! haha

Probably a bit far down to be going for overall....but im sitting in top 4 in all my leagues with no real hard games this week so im thinking of sitting Goodes on the pine this week.....just thinking sidebum and beams will go up in price the longer i wait

upthemaidens

ok so your not concerned about byes?  then well horse needs to come in,thats priority... after that well,, sidebum/beams may go up, but it wont be a massive amount 10k-20k  surely not enough to worry about.. how bad do u want adams? if u do then 2 downgrades this week otherwise forget adams and sit on the trades for as long as possible..  if ya going for league you really dont even need to trade out goodes to be honest

colmullet

well i was trying to balance the byes out as best i could....if i was heading down that road which way should i go?

u have 4 rd.11 bye mids and 6 rd.11 bye forwards  and for perfect structure you're meant to be at 2 in each line  so..

colmullet

sure but im trading out a fair amount of those in the next few rounds as alot of em would have reached their peaks by then

well personally if i was focused on league i would just do the horse trade  and think adams(still unsure) .
    actually u could go goodes to adams and pocket the cash, then go kennedy to beams/side the week after

colmullet

yeah i would, just also wanted to get roughy back forward if Sandi is back this week (looks likely) so that im not wasting Giles on the bench against Gold Coast who he should rack up a decent score against seeing as Smith seems to be a shadow of what he was last year

yep the only problem with that is when/if u need to move roughie back to ruck you'll basically have a dead spot on your fwd bench, which could mean no EMG.   umm maybe wait till after byes before moving roughie forward, or even leaving roughie in ruck and downgrading giles later on for cash

colmullet

true i hadnt considered leaving him there at all really as Giles scoring has been great and would seem a waste to have him benched while a lower performing forward rook takes his place on field. I dunno, i guess ill wait n see if Sandi is named first before i do anything, i think adding Adams to my already very heavy GWS forward line might just be a little to much

remember quite a few peeps who went with the set and forget rucks (i.e. Cox, Sandi, giles, Orren) have benched giles all year..  the luxury of having the ruck dpp link would be ok last year with 3 benchies,but with 2... not so sure if its such a good idea... example is sandi will miss fairly often(one would think) which will mean u do need a 3rd ruck,and with gws rotating every week u will need both your fwd bench with atleast a chance of playing... personally just bench giles and leave roughie..
  not sure on the maths,, can u go caddy-->horse then kennedy-->side/beams  ?  that way just keep goodes

colmullet

na i cant do kennedy to beams or sidey....bout 100K short of doing that...i think ill just wait n see what happens when terams are named regarding my forward rooks and Sandi and then decide which way to go with Kennedy
