With goodes out for 6 weeks there is no way i am keeping him, and i already have fisher who is also out (i think). I was thinking is it time to get boooomer? He has been solid so far with a bad game against sydney at the SCG and a poor game against WCE. He has a pretty easy draw to come and may fire up a belt out the centuries? Best of all you get 100k in the bank

You take a huge risk, boomer had always been solid but never elite?

I would be looking at Beams, Stevie J, Chappy, Martin, Sidebum, Danger, Zaka all ahead of him.

i like the look of beams atm

Better options out there. Beams looking good IMO

the danger porps

My vote is no to boomer, Beams is in high scoring FORM, i would go sidey for sure, he is ultra consistent. wait on beams and see if he keeps it up, your rookies will always make more money than how much he will go up.

Don't do it. I got him for Fyfe and he's been more POP than boom.

I think Boomer has been elite for a forward in the past.  He has averaged over 100 in every year since 2005 when SC scores were first recorded, the only exception is 2009, when he broke his arm and played a record low number of games, 15 H & A games for the season.

He is averaging less than 100 this year, so maybe age is finally catching up.  On these numbers he is having a better SC season than both Stevie J and Martin, both have only hit the ton in one game.

Of the above list I like Danger the best, maybe followed by sidey, but if I were looking for value for money in the low to mid $400's then i would probably take Cyril, or Stevie J.

Other options are Pearce, who is having a breakout season and if you take out his first round 16 when he was injured and subbed, his average is around the 100 mark.  Pav is another fallen premium, and has finally produced a big game which he has done so often in the past.

I have had a look at Martin on a few occasions but have resisted putting him in my team, and the fact that he is not even in the top 100 worries me, (currently ranked 140 on average) and he has still struggled to poll big scores against all sides, including melbourne (70) and Port (89).  Maybe look at martin later in the year when his price drops to the low $400's, but I believe there are better options than him at the moment.

The Bomber

Other than Boomer being elite +1 to everything said above. Even in Boomers best avg year he still score under 80 multiple times, it just got cancelled with the big 130+ games he had. At one point he had 3 80's in a row, not elite, just premium material.
