Ok... here is the team that will win supercoach. ( I wish! )

B : Goddard, Newman, Cornes, Walker, Malceski, Petterd, Hurley
     (Grimes, Rance)
M: Judd, JSelwood, KCornes, Pendlebury, Boak, Cotchin
     (Dangerfield, Skipworth)
R: Cox, Charman (White, McEvoy)
F: NReiwoldt, Franklin, NGBrown, AlDavey, Veszpremi, Higgins, Yarran
   (Grant, Ballantyne)

My strategy is to hopefully grow enough value in my benches to upgrade a couple of forwards and a couple of backs. Happy to leave my rucks and mids if they are performing.
Doesn't seem to be much low to mid range value in the backs so was happy to spend more there and will continue to build my forward line around the 3 premiuims.
With Cox a standout, the rest of the rucks look a bit ordinary to me. I can't wait until the likes of Luenberger, Kruezer, NicNat, Vickery, Cordy etc are at the peak of their abilities.
Thought that a quality midfield could still be picked without going all the way to the top of the salary tree for a premium cat.
I personally think that the team that will win supercoach is the one that has the best run with injuries and has the best cash cows.
I think a good theory is not only to pick a team that you think will do well but what team you would ultimately want. My ultimate team is currently worth just under 12M, so I have picked a side that I think can increase towards 12M as I strategically trade towards that during the season.

I like it but I don't think Cornes will be listed as a back and personally I think everyone has to have Taylor Walker this season, but it's a very good team.

With the price and position updates, a bit of juggling was required.
Team now is:

B : Goodard, Newman, Carrazzo, CCornes, Adcock, Malceski, Gallman.
   ( Suban, Davenport )
M : Ablett, Judd, Pendlebury, KCornes, Swallow, Rich
   ( Dangerfield, Beams )
R : Cox , White ( Currie, McEvoy )
F : Reiwoldt, Harvey, Franklin, NGBrown, Higgins, Yarran, Gumbleton.
   ( Grant, Ballantyne )

Carrazzo and Adcock were too good to resist as backmen as too was Harvey as a forward. They should all score well in these positions.
I think I have loaded too heavily with premiums as a result leaving myself vulnerable with Gallman, White and Gumby all starting. Hope my bench is sloid enough to cope with this.
Am fairly confident Higgins, Yarran, Swallow, Rich will all start R1 if fit.
White/ Currie is probably pretty poor as a 2nd ruck option but I just don't see much value in the rucks.
May consider looking at Brown or Hogan instead of Ballantyne as 9th forward as well.

Nice side.

Swallow interests me i must say.

Hopefully Cornes is a back.

Watch Carrazzo and his clangers, a killer in SC

You need a better 2nd ruck.

Swallow played all 22 games in 07 and should regain his place comfortably im hoping and pick up where he left of at an av. of about 75 which is ok for now before an upgrade.
Carrazzo is better suited to DT with his clanger count, you are right.
Perhaps the best move would be for me to downgrade Carrazzo to a mid priced back and get a better 2nd ruck.

ShrewDext

Didnt the Dee's delist Jeff White?

A big (obvious) whole there in the 2nd ruck.

Your FWD line is similar to how I would like to structure mine but I dont have enough $$$ to fit Higgins / Vezpremi in.

Higgins is priced well for a Midfielder as well if you are keen on him.
Swallow is priced nicely also and I like him for '09.

You might have to axe 1 of Pendles or Kornes or downgrade Gablett to Bartell to upgrade the 2nd ruck.

The Ruck posi isnt the most exciting but the rookie rucks rarley generate enough $$$ to become good cash cows for trade ups. Ottens and McIntosh seem to have the most upside of the Rucks IMO.

What price is considered 'mid-priced' for a Back? You already have Adcock, and Malceski and it gets slim after that.
