On first glance an avg in the 90's three seasons seems pretty good for a youngish player coming up. And with a full preseason he should dominate.

On second glance scores last year vary between
53 and 110, and in previous years varied even more such as between like 30 and 150.

He seems to be consistently inconsistent and at his price it is starting to feel like more of a guess than a sure thing. Thoughts people? I cant deal with my 4th midfield trumping up 50 or so  (Another thing I noticed every time Essendon lose, which may happen alot with our crap draw he generally plays shyte)

Anyone else been researching him?

Ive got him locked in, i love the way he plays, hes a jet. But i have only researched him for DT so i can't really comment here. But i do think he has what it takes to enter elite status, he has an uncanny ability to find the ball, hes a magnet...even when he was at geelong and not getting a chance.

its a fair wod of cash for a bloke in his 3rd season whose only played 25 or so games???
but as u have said toddles, 1st full pre season - he just jumped into the side half way thru the year in 09, wouldn't of been as fit as he would of liked and did a dam good job. makes good early decisions IMO and im on him hoping for a high 90s to 100 season average - would justify picking him if he gets that. I'd say he is the best bomber mid to pick this season, i think he will out do jobe this year (only fantasy wise - jobe's role is priceless!)
go u DONS

He should hopefully come more consisten with a pre season this year should be free'd up around the ground

I don’t think he’s much of a risk:
- 5th season so should peak
- given limited tog at Geelong
- Stanton and Jobe will get tagged before Prismall
- Essendon have been wrapt with his professionalism and the way he trains.
With a full preseason, I expect him to average 100+.  Even if he doesn’t improve, he won’t exactly be a liability.

Like someone mentioned in an earlier post, for 20k you can have a Cooney with runs on the board!

I have gone with Cooney myself!

toodledock

ive got coony, its a tough one. I think I will go with him, if he doesnt do well preseason and first 3 weeks I will quickly jump off board before his value goes down and get on something else

jimmytigs

thinking palmer is a lock but looking closely at dalziell, prismall & cooney as good value mids may go with palmer & 1 of them depending on nab cup etc or 2 of them if palmer doesnt come up

winderlich will also get tagged before pris, its understandable last 2 seasons would be inconsistant
