Hi nonnahs, a couple of comments

Jack Grimes = excellent player, but remains a huge risk to get injured which is bad news at that price point. Maybe look to switch to an equivalent, but more durable defender (Fisher, Hurn)

If Sheppard starts the season then you might be better switching him onto the field for Raines / Hurley & upgrading the other to a true premium.

Mids look good (only question is whether Black is still a premium), rucks are spot on.

Goodes will be a popular forward pick this year, but should drop from $600K at some stage if you wanted to save some money up front.  Fevola is too inconsistent for me at $500K.  Barry Hall remains a huge risk at any price.

Bit hard to comment on the bench this far out, but I think there are better ruck options than Laycock such as Warnock, Trent West or Skipper.

Hope this helps

made a few alterations, i do see this as a more even side now
..

took your advice on Grimes...
still want to keep Hurley, could be a wildcard this year... as with Laycock i think he is not a bad risk, along with the fact no one else will have him..

overall do you thin this is an improvement?

Too many rookies, particularly in the mid field. Last year less than half of the rookies I had pencilled in played round 1.

Just be aware you will have a frantic time changing these players when they are not named on Thursday night before Rd1

Hawks_1976

Your backs are great except for Bock who has had a limited preseason.
Look for an alternative here.
I don't like your midfield at all. After GAJ, you lack another genuine premium or two to compliment him. Ball could score well as an in-and-under that the Pies have missed since Scott Burns retired. After that you have two returning from injury and two first yearers. You need to reduce the money you have spent in your forwards to improve this area. Having Morabito and Cunnington on the bench is an overkill. I'd look at Cunnington as your 6/7th forward instead.
Great rucks but Laycock is a spud, I'd look at Skipper or Cordy instead.
Forwards are strong but I think there are better choices for who you have selected. Goodes overpriced for R1, Harvey past his best, Clark should be a ruck not a forward choice, Hurley only a 2nd year player and overpriced.

Hope this helps. :)

nonnahs,

Yes its a improvement.

Defence looks much more stronger and more reliable then your first team that you had.
Midfield is good but I would only start 1 rookie midfielder on the ground and try and get another mid-price or premium player to start if you can tweak some players around in other areas.
You would want to hope that McVeigh has a good season next year he is a very good player, had a shocker this season with form and injurys.

Rucks look okay.

Forwards I dont mind. Its going to be interesting seeing how much having the other 2 rucks come back in for Brisbane and how it will effect or if it will effect Mitch Clarke's numbers which i feel that it will. There was more load on his shoulders this season with the other two being injured which increased his gametime/score wise.
I like Hurley also he is a gem and he can only get better.

Thats better Noonahs.

Just keep track of the rookies as your bench options during the NAB cup and you can tweak them around if you need to, but a good start.

gone with a solid defence, i don't want to be relying on rookies in the backline.... learnt my lesson last year ...
4 keepers
possibly more depending on how Ladson and Kennelly perform

am happy with my onballers
even with 2 rookies  starting.. i believe the other 4 all could be keepers

rucks are steady

forwards
have 3 keepers,
tomahawk may become a keeper
2 definant upgrades and 1 rookie

how do you rate it?

Pretty good team.

I like your defence. Gilbee was tagged last year and his scores dropped alot. He can't handle a tag. henderson is a smokie for the blues. Might be a good pick as they look to play him up forward to replace fev.

Mids are good. I've gone with a similar strategy with 2 rookies on field.

Rucks are good but expect tippett to be up and down all year.

I think this year the forward line is packed with rookies who are going to play. I'm playing 3 if they are named round 1. You got good mid pricers in there and hope hawkins can keep a spot in the team.
