you have 5 "iffy" backmen, Buckley, waters, shepps, davis, smith.

By iffy i mean all/most of the either are untried at senior level or are coming back from injury and are unsertaincies.
I think this year will be like the last 3,4,5 you really need to sure up your back line (maybe 4/1/1/3 or 4/1/2/2) something like that.
Maybe trade a Davis with a thygh kenelly and chuck someone else on the bench Thygh will be a money maker this year. dont forget he is fit as a irishman under a rainbow.

It be interesting to know where the Pies would play Simon Buckley next season, but i wouldnt have him in my team.
I would probably have another gun in the midfield.
Rucks and Forward line seem good.

Hey mate

Your team looks alrite atm, but there are some improvements to make.

First off u need another gun in your mids, id trade Dalziell up to another gun mabye someone around the 420-450k area

Second ur backline isnt very strong and believe me that u need to have a strong backline at the start of the year

this year i had the starting backline like this- Goddard, Cornes,Hodge,Houlihan,Geary,Raines and Hill

and it turned out to be a massive pain in the ass all year, injurys, underperforming players etc.

So imo its better to have a lot of guns in ur backline to start with (4-5) 1 or 2 cheap players (100-250k) and 1 or 2 rookies

so I would get rid of buckley and keep waters who looks like a brick sh*t house now, and get in kennelly, clarke or ladson who all could be good players

ur rucks look fine, mabye Ottens instead of Hille

Forwards look really good except for Mayne, get in Andrew Walker instead if u hve the money

timskul

ultimately its your decision, but mayne could turn out to be a very good pick, personally take him over a persistently injured walker, as he seems likely to have a more important role in freos team next year, probably better options than kane lucas in fwds, tapscott/cunnington if named in there

christoff

yeah im gunna take a risk with mayne he seems like he could b a good player when fit! i just have to work on my defence abit! im happy with my mids and forwards and rucks! any suggestions on players to get and players to get rid of in my defence would b nice.....

timskul

just no starting back rookies, get rid of in your opinion the worst of sheppard davis and smith for whoever you can afford that is good. i got hurn in there or u could go for a 200k player -seems to be plenty. just my opinion tho

go dees!

buckley was a tagger at the dees , hes not a huge points guy ..

but if hes fully fit he is capable of getting 80-90 + . his lows wil be 30 -40 if hes doing a strict tag

Selwood4brownlow

you are missing rick ladson. He will be the shaun higgins of 2010. Look for some more experienced players that haven't made a huge name for themselves yet. For example tippett and ryder and even mcintosh last year. how many people picked those players for round 1.
