Who I can lose out on big time is Dane Swan (BE 172). He is the most expensive player and should he keep underperforming he will be leaking cash like a similie of something that leaks a lot.

DT is a game of cash, and right now before the price changes it seems a financially better move to pocket the massive cash and spend it over then next couple of rounds as the true premiums emerge. I'm going for league win btw.

I understand what Swan is capable of, that's why I picked him. But you can't stay as world #1 forever and I have a bad feeling that this might be the year he falters. Plus he has the Arizona trip later, no good to me if he's in another bloody country. Give us your thoughts, I know its an outlandish call but reading the same ideas gets tiring after the 27th time.

Cheers

It's not really about losing the cash, with Swan's massive starting price he was always going to dip. It should be more of a question of if you still believe he'll be one of the top 6 to 8 mids this year. It would be foolhardy to think that won't be the case.

Swan's ranked 20th at the moment, as put by a previous poster- hardly good enough for a final midfield. And it was said that he'll definitely be top 10 by season's end- again pure speculation, pre-season form and current form indicate otherwise.

As I said its a long (read boring) story why I didn't have Magner, I do have Greene already though so I'm no better/worse off than most people in that repect.

No Goddard either, got Lids and Scotland so I was/am worried about that Rd 13 bye. But on the back of the last couple of performances I wouldn't mind getting him in anyway.

On the back of all this I am leaning towards Conig out for just the one trade, but to say I'm certain of keeping Swan this week would be lying. Guess I'll read more and see what happens.

Thanks for the input thus far regardless from those who have contributed.

Swan will go down by like 25k this week. He needs a breakeven of 175.

If you’re not familiar with Gary Ablett’s (MID, $554,700) best work, then, well, you’ve been living under a rock.

Swan is a premium.

Leave him in your side - unless you think he's going to perform so poorly this season that at the end of the year you'll put someone else in to replace him.

Weigh up your rookie options.

What will having Magner mean to your side that is different to havign Coniglio?

Do you reckon Magner will keep on getting 100s, or that Coniglio will start to bust out 80s and 90s?  How many extra $$$ willMagner give you if you swap him for Coniglio, and what will that mean for your trade options?

If you need to trade I'd go Coniglio to Magner - but have a think about whether doing this will diminish your flexibility in the long term.

I don't think the belief that he will be a top 10 mid is speculation, rather it is an analysis that is informed by years of Dream Team statistics. What is speculative is basing his demise on 2 games plus the NAB which he doesn't try in.

yorgis

drop swan at your peril . what will you say when he starts belting out 120 plusses after you trade him out, just

save a few grand. he will still be in the top mids at the end of the year and evry tom, dick and harry will want him
