but seriously carrots or scotland share the round 13 bye with every other premium defender you have  :o

so either you don't care what you score round 13 and you are just writing that round off.

OR you would be better off getting in malceski, dempsey, hargrave, waters and pocketing some cash.

You have the best 3 defenders in your 3 premiums I would go for the cash making option at least then the trade earns you some money and can be easier to justify  ;)

Broughton will lose you $30K minimum this round, any of those mid pricers will make you $30 - $60K this week, combined the trade instantly makes your team $100K in one round, make you more the next round and your mid pricer will probably outscore your SPUD premium as well as making you cash instead of losing you cash.

Or you can do what Ricochet says, toughen up, hang on and wait the scoring slump out in the hope next round will be broughtons round, i'm already starting to see the no no Brisbane is broughtons deal he snashes it against them, 140 this week, hang onto him..... funny thing is the week before it was "sydney is his thing" he kills it against them LOL you just never know, you are damned if you do and you are damned if you dont. whichever way you go the opposite will happen and you have to live with it :) so go with your gut/.

Im looking at writing round 13 off .. many good Defender premo's that round  .. i already have Scotland, Lids and God .. would like Carrots, Birch etc   :-\

yes FF I have my perfect bye team structure and week by week it is looking like unravelling - i always did say, it is smart to structure for the byes but not at the expense of your weekly score for ten weeks or the loss over the pre bye rounds will well outweight the gains during the 3 bye rounds.

Defence and FWD line are the big issues, the best players share the round 13 DEF and Round 12 FWD.

I'm looking at Birchall for my first priority defender upgrade and he is round 13 same as goddard and delidio i already have.

BUT i think i may go broughton to waters instead of birchall and upgrade to birchall next its not like he will get any cheaper or dearer.

Agree on Scotland having his issues and carrots has yet to score a 60 while doing a tough job on someone so i'm not buying into him until he gets a couple of bad scores in a row and drops - we know it will happen at some stage.

I think the 3 best defenders goddard-lids-birch are locks then there are other premiums which are on shaky ground - then there are the gun mid pricers, im going to run with goddard lids heater and midpricers until the byes where i will bring in the next best 3 defender premiums who should be clear who they are by then.

Why not? If he didnt't get like 61 in the last quarter then he would of gotten a lowish score. His breakeven is 140 so I see him losing price fast.

Yeah... but he did get 61 in the last quarter .. when he loses the 79 from the first round (round 4 )his breakeven will change.. cant see him losing much if he posts hundreds regularly

I would hold on to Broughton and persist with him. Been a pretty solid Dter for a couple of seasons now and you would write him off after 2 games and waste a trade?

But if you totally intent on swapping him for Scotland or Carazzo the only way to describe it would be six of one or half a dozen of the other, flip a coin.
