Sadly yesterday during a Serie B match Piermario Morosini collapsed on the field in scenes reminiscent of Muamba just a few weeks ago. Unfortunately Morosini was not as lucky as Muamba, after suffering 3 cardiac arrests he was dead before he made it to the hospital.

How this has happened again in soccer has left me speechless. My thoughts are with his family and friends.

Not a good time for stuff like this. First Muamba, then Petrov, then Fersini, now Morosini. Add to that its the 23rd anniversary of the Hillsborough Disaster and we have 5 terrible events in the last couple of months.

Piermario Morosini (the Livorno player who passed away on the pitch from cardiac arrest) has a sister who is severely disabled which he looks after, but since her brother died, she has nobody. So Antonio Di Natale (captain of Udinese - the club, which Piermario was loaned out from) said he will take care of his sister, by taking guardianship and responsibility for her. Heartwarming.
